Right now let's take a look back and remember an important moment in Kansas City history that still defines our current crime situation.
Check it:
TODAY ANTI-CRIME ACTIVIST ALONZO WASHINGTON TOUTS HIS CRITICAL HELP IN SOLVING THE PRECIOUS DOE ERICA GREEN HOMICIDE CASE!!!
Here are the top tweets from the KC Crime Fighter today . . .
"On May 05, 2005 the world learned Precious Doe was Erica Green from me running the ad the tipster saw . . ."
"Here's my ad that cracked the Precious Doe case. The tipster saw it yearly. My sponsors paid 4 it & not the community"
"Here's the New York Times saying I solved the Precious Doe case & now the KC press lies about the case like I didn't"
This is important because it demonstrates that Mr. Washington leading the effort through grassroots participation in order to help police and help bring justice in a cold case. Like it or not, this kind of community involvement is what police encourage to help curb crime. If there is a solution to the current spate of shooting then it most likely involves more people stepping up to stand up against crime in much the same way as Mr. Washington.
