Like it or not, Kansas City Mayor's Son Kyle "KJ" James has dominated the local hip-hop scene this year.
From a widely-read cover story to ongoing/continual reports regarding his DUI and jail time adventures. TKC Note: Yes, we heard he was in another police dust-up just this December so don't expect his publicity to end any time soon.
He's seemingly competing with Lindsay Lohhan for arrest count that but that doesn't negate his hip-hop ability and progress as an MC.
Like it or not, Finally Off Papers is a step forward and shows us that despite his many misadventures. Kansas City's hip-hop "bad boy" really does take his music seriously . . . Which, sadly, could be the only thing he's taking seriously nowadays.
Probably not even employable as a cart-shagger these days.
