Here's how it works . . . Much smarter people than me read this blog and then graciously tell us the real deal . . . We mix it up, punch it up and then report it back with our some spin, dumb jokes and a great deal of attitude and it becomes something worthy of discussion . . . Sometimes.
Other times . . . The facts speak for themselves . . .
To wit . . .
AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS INFORM US THAT THE KANSAS CITY ROYALS HAVE ONLY A 1.5% CHANCE OF MAKING THE PLAYOFFS ACCORDING TO MLB STANDINGS!!!
No, this isn't TKC being pessimistic . . . Arguments that this blog "hates" Kansas City are half-truths at best . . . Also, TKC was actually pretty good at sports in high school AND college which is evidenced by the fact that your favorite blogger can still bench press a small truck after drinking a can of Red Bull and maybe enjoying a sugar rush from little chocolate covered donuts.
Anyhoo . . .
Here's the data . . .

Just captured this a few seconds ago and ACCORDING TO MLB WILD CARD STANDINGS RIGHT NOW . . . The Kansas City Royals have a 1.5% chance of postseason play.
Sadly, even according to stats and just a basic knowledge of sports . . . Local sports fanboys refuse to admit that hype, corporate greed and ignorance have propagated the myth of a Kansas City baseball renaissance that never really happened.
That sucks. We'll get'em next year. Not even YOU can deny the improvement TKC!
ReplyDeleteWait a second....If you know as much about sports that you say you do, you would of knew the Royals had a slim chance yourself. You could of figured that out by listing to 810 or 610 or ESPN radio.
ReplyDeleteYou needed tipsters?
By the way...your Messican. I thought Messicans only cared about the Dodgers or Yankees.
I actually calculated their chances at 1.3% but it's been a while since I've had to calculate any chances of the Royals making the playoffs during the last week of the season.
ReplyDelete@5:52 - Your kidding right? I listen to KC Sports radio online and all that I hear is gushing about how great the royals are doing and how the playoff dream is still alive. They wouldn't dare publish or talk about a stat like this. Steve St. John said he wasn't going to sleep until the season was over. Sports radio is a slave to the royals and the chiefs. You only listen to that for a few good laughs. They don't have any real info.

ReplyDeleteWow, Bobo. You mean to tell me that sports talk radio guys in KC actually talk a lot about the Chiefs and Royals? Who wudda thunk it?
ReplyDeleteFor the TKC crowd hating seems to be therapeutic. Anywhere, anything, anyone.
ReplyDeleteThrow up an opportunity for the racists to comment, Tony.
Eat shit you fat faggot
ReplyDeleteNailed it 7:29. 756=high level mark.
ReplyDeleteThat chick makes me hard!
ReplyDeleteTony you are just a sports troll. The record of the KC Royals for the past 20+ years has consistently sucked. This was a good year. It is almost October and we are still in the wild card race, mathematically...
ReplyDeleteThe Royals had the best ERA in the American league. It was a good season. The Royals have little hope of every being a contender until the MLB puts in a real salary cap or the team gets sold to somebody with cash.
