There's a fight for the political soul of Kansas that hasn't earned much attention from local mainstream media.
Also, here's a better look at the people pushing Paul Davis . . .
Kansas Moderate Republicans Try To Fight Back With New Group
Huff Post offers far more deets than any local news source on this Kansas ruckus: "A group of more than 60 moderate Republicans, mostly former state legislators, formed Traditional Republicans for Common Sense in an effort to regain control of the state Republican Party. An ongoing Republican Party civil war in Kansas has pitted conservative Republicans against a moderate faction; conservative Republicans knocked out moderates from the state Senate during the 2012 primary, giving conservatives control of both legislative bodies and the governorship."
As always, Republican discontent mostly originates from Johnson County rhinos with the deep pockets to push their decidedly "mainstream" politics that's virtually indistinguishable from most cocktail party chatter. And that kinda explains why Dead Tree Media newsies are so "excited" about the Paul Davis campaign.
Still . . . The Kansas Republican Slapfight makes for decent entertainment given that the pattern here is that RINOS usually withdraw quickly as soon as things start to get serious and more strident Republicans start getting angry. On the other hand, the typical hope is that big money will silence dissent . . . Which often works.
Wondering if this ruckus will inspire Congressman Kevin Yoder to go for another nude swim in order to relax for a bit.
Only in the media establishment is the word "moderate" synonymous with "corrupt". This is a collection of sore grapes losers, has beens and never weres. They've been thrown out of office because people got sick of them claiming to be Republicans and then voting with the Democrats and claiming to be moderates when all they ever did was line their own pockets and those of their clients and cronies. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
ReplyDeleteshould have posted a photo of a rhino. that's what this is really about.
ReplyDeleteTony, please publish a list of the moderates who would vote for a Dem. I want to know who to vote out of office.
ReplyDeleteThat picture looks like two fat, nigger bitches, fighting over a can of tuna, at the new Aldi's on Prospect....
