Kansas City Royals Legend Willie Wilson Will Have His World Series Ring Replaced!!!

A bit of a milestone for a former Kansas City Royals legend who actually earned a bit of success beyond local media hype . . .

After a bankruptcy, a judge ordered the baseball great to auction his ring . . . But now:

Fundraising efforts to craft Willie Wilson a new World Series ring have proven successful and organizers recently reached their $8,500 goal

The website www.williewilsonbaseball.org explains online support for the effort and the process of getting a new World Series Ring for the local legend.

And while current Royals struggle to pretend that they're serious playoff contenders (they aren't) this effort from family, friends and fans is a rather EPIC display of appreciation for real Kansas City pro-sports accomplishment.

  1. Let me guess. A bunch of white people whom made much less money than Wilson (especially adjusted for inflation) donated enough money for him to get a new ring. People can do whatever they want with their money but you never see this in reverse. I never see a bunch of black people get together and buy a white church a new air conditioner.

  3. I have heard nothing but good things about Wilson in recent years. Like all of us he made some mistakes in his younger days but he seems to have moved on.

  4. Man talk about some stupid fucking people. Willie made his own bed so let him deal with it. Use that money for something really good like helping a parentless kid or something like that. Fuck that over paid black POS.

  5. I like Wille regardless of his shortcomings but I agree he needs cash more than he needs a stupid ring. At least he wasn't a tattooed thug like most assletes these days during his time.
