Earlier this Summer some of the most KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS noted that Mayor and Council seemed more divided than ever.
Now the sitch has grown worse.
To wit . . .
EXPECT OUTRIGHT WARFARE BETWEEN MAYOR AND COUNCIL AS ELECTION SEASON SLOWLY APPROACHES!!!
Highlights:
- Council is tired of taking marching order from Mayor Sly.
He runs things like a business but the Council makes for horrible employees.
- Charter Reform is ripping apart propaganda regarding unity.
Mayor Sly's quest for more power has finally elicited some push back.
- Development issues have destroyed alliances betwixt Mayor and Council.
As always, when it's not about the money at City Hall. It's about the money.
- Council Dude John Sharp and Council Lady Jan Marcason are starting to push back on the Mayor
The Council is listening to detractors and consultants who tell us that Kansas City's Mayor isn't as popular as his acolytes contend.
And all this sets the stage for THE UPCOMING PASTOR BROOKS SCANDAL that's going to blow up Mayor and City Council and turn most of Kansas City against their politicos who have touted empty promises of reform.
Developing . . .
michael brooks has destroyed the Council the same way michael hernandez did in the 90s.
ReplyDeleteTotal Clusterfuck
ReplyDeleteToo little too late. Most of these council people can not run for reelection. Thank Gawd! None of the council are worth retaining, including the Mayor. Mayor can most up if he wants to but he rode in on the short bus and he'll be walking home. Pack up Mr. Mayor. You won't be back.
ReplyDeleteSly thinks he's the smartest - street smart - in the room. All badasses don't live in or near the hood. You don't see the smart ones coming. Come on smarties make the right moves.
ReplyDeleteIf you guys think anyone's beating James next spring, you're fucking dreaming.
ReplyDeleteAll of them crooks. Can't we get any decent elected officials in KC.
ReplyDeleteThis is why people compare us to Detroit.
Sly James is a paper tiger. He is not unbeatable.
ReplyDeleteProblem is the same people pick the people we get to pick from. That has to change. The public had to see that the same old lying hypocritical crooks ate killing KC. No one in any way connected to old guard should get any votes. Not sure the general public has the brains or nerve to buck them though. Too many people making a profit off of staying with status quo.
ReplyDeleteFire Schulte.
ReplyDeleteSly switched sides.
ReplyDeleteUrban Scummit members must die. We lost one today. I'm for losing one daily until they're all gone.
ReplyDeleteGee, I hope we elect the wife of an advisor to the Mayor who has never paid a dime in KC property taxes to serve as a Council Woman. She will sure fix everything.
ReplyDeleteSince, the people who raise the most cash are regarded as having the most support, & since the money is essentially bribes, & since name recognition is essential in a city full of anonymous people, you're essentially screwed.
ReplyDeleteDemocracy & capitalism do not go hand in hand, but rather money corrupts democracy & makes a mockery of it. And which of these corrupted people will best represent the urban core? None of them. Its not even possible. You're essentially screwed; cities don't work ...
Lots of people compare KC to Detroit, but our country isn't old enough to see this go full circle. Fleeing to the suburbs destroys the cities, which makes the suburbs irrelevant, after the cities fail, the suburbs will fail, too.
The best places in America to live right now are the small towns that do not have a symbiotic relationship with a near by city.
If you love Kansas City, the worst thing you can do is flee to the suburbs & disassociate yourself with the problems of the urban core. Because when the city dies, you will be next.
I recommend that you lose the 'at large' seats on the council. The idea that someone living in one district can effectively represent the people of another district is absurd. The people who care about & live in the urban core must present their own candidates regardless of how much money, sophistication or education they don't have.
Now, it hurts my eyes to type this much & it makes me sleepy so I'm going to bed. Tomorrow, I have a doctor's appointment, where she'll tell me how much longer I have to live & what it is that is actually killing me.
Good night, KC & good luck ...
As much as it pains me to admit it, I actually agree with you. Well said...but don't let it go to your head...I'll be here waiting to tell you that you're wrong about something...
DeleteBullshit fucking bullshit nothing like a loser who acts like Harley to stink up a blog.
ReplyDeleteI need 15K to have Miley Cyrus come stand on her hands down on the plaza. Thats an "educational" posse event.
ReplyDeleteWhat dumbasses would think it's a good idea to suggest kids that live in a city besieged by perpetual violence look up to a violent woman beating boxer? These people have no business anywhere near kids and definitely there is some really bad judgment on the part of anyone who thinks these sleazy people should be mentoring kids. This type of bad judgment is why many of the kids are a mess.
ReplyDelete"He runs things like a business but the Council makes for horrible employees." is, without a doubt, one of the dumbest fucking things ever written. This Mayor is a joke and his attempts at running over the City Council are nearly criminal. This dumb-assed Mayor will surely have to pay, at some point. Surely?
ReplyDeleteI need 15K to have tony twerk on you tube.
ReplyDeleteByron the Fake Funkhouser, no one cares about your idiotic advice or your theories on Kansas City. Since you are not related to Mark Funkhouser, you have no standing in KC. Be gone.
ReplyDeleteI'll keep this brief, because you don't come back to read my reply. Read the story you're all excited about, not just the headline (at least look at the date.) You clearly are uninformed.
ReplyDeleteNobody cares what you think. You have no standing here.
I miss funkhauser
