Another take on South Kansas City eco-devo . . .
Cerner has entered a deal to purchase the site of the former Bannister Mall at Interstate 435 and Bannister Road.
On the bright side . . . Flash mobs are far less likely amid office space . . .

Hows the Cerner CEO's perception of the fullness of the company parking lot at the hours of 8AM and 5PM these days?
ReplyDeleteFinally, a little progress for SKC. Our council has dumped tons of dollars into the Northland but has neglected the south for years.
ReplyDeleteNow to get rid of the knuckleheads that have somehow taken over this area. Good luck to all!
Hope it's a step in the right direction.
Police. Lots and lots of police who don't give a damn about the criminal's whittle fee-lings. Ass kicking cops, lots of them.
ReplyDeleteJohn Sharp has neglected the south for years. You should have not voted for Humpty Dumpty Eddy and Sharp's 4th term.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately Hickman Mills is reaping the consequences of years of bad leadership.
Why would Cerner build an office there? None of the people who live around there are either smart enough to work for Cerner or have any skills Cerner would need unless they are branching out into the janitor business and then in that case, it would make more sense for them to locate on the Westside where their work force is.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! The Cerner employees are gonna love what happens to their cars in this neighborhood
ReplyDeleteMaybe land is cheap in the Ghetto War Zone.
ReplyDeleteI remember junior high at Smith-Hale back in 84-85.our black English teacher Ms.Smith would encourage "rap -battles for the entire hour...us white kids just sat there, ignored and clueless..when class was over it was back to being ganged up on and sucker punched for most of the day..aww,i loved school.
ReplyDeleteLived in that area for thirty years. Thanks to the bus line and hyper-mart that made that area what it is today....shit! Can't believe Cerner is going to build there.
ReplyDeleteI bet Cerner got one hell of a deal on that real estate. Will they change their mind and another Mission Mall repeat will occur?
ReplyDeleteIf it had not been for Mayor Funky (who Tony supported for mayor) and his wife, Cerner would have built its facilities on that site and we would have had the soccer park there too.
ReplyDeleteThank you Tony.
What about the $593 million dollar build it and they will come ghost town the council already passed for that area?
ReplyDeletethey best had bolt down all of their office equipment or them sumsabitch negros (Niggers for short) will steal them blind. Maybe Cleaver da Black beaver could get funding to build an Aldi's next door
ReplyDeleteBetter hire private security firms!
ReplyDeleteWho says they will build anything? They didn't I don't think. Great investment! Smart move. You all know why!
ReplyDeleteGreat investment. May play out in a few years. Let it fester and die like a crepe myrtle only to be reborn when all the critters have been chased away.
ReplyDeleteCerner just THINKS it's too big for the niggers to ruin it. Just watch, the niggers will have Cerner either run out of town or pleading for bankruptcy, in pretty short order. Niggers are just like cancer or termites. Same results.
ReplyDeleteI don't care who owns it, nothing will get done anytime soon. The leadership of KC will make sure of that.
ReplyDeleteNeil Patterson, Cerner's CEO, is also a partner in the development company that owns it now. The development company bought it when Sporting KC (another of Neil's ventures) was going to locate there. This is nothing more than a way for Cerner's deep pockets to bail Neil out of the deal.
ReplyDeleteCan anyone who runs Cerner wipe their ass without a government handout? Everywhere they go, they need a handout.
