Renewed promises from Mayor Sly to clean up Kansas City . . .
- Mayor Sly James and other city leaders were focused on illegal dumping Saturday morning, joining in on a city-wide clean up effort.
- Mayor: City to make example of those caught illegally dumping trash
- KC Mayor combats illegal dumping
On the bright side . . . Illegal dumping has been one of the top concerns for neighborhoods in Kansas City. However, a Saturday morning PR effort doesn't really seem like the problem ranks as something important enough to take on during the work week when the Council is usually busy with eco-devo work.
In his first year in office Mayor Sly made the fight against illegal dumping one of his few neighborhood priorities and now a couple of years later it seems that there hasn't bee much progress.
I see Mexicans shitting under bridges all the time. What about that illegal dumping?
ReplyDeleteAt last Sly does something in office that he is qualified for.
ReplyDeleteCut the big item pickup and two bag limit and these dumb fucks didn't see this coming?
ReplyDeleteThe sole issue I agree with the Mayor on and that it is unsightly, unnecessary and unsanitary to dump trash. There is a process and the process needs to be followed. If you cost you a few extra bucks, then don't create trash. This really is silly but the Mayor is being productive and getting media coverage on issues that matter.
ReplyDeleteJames won't do shit, except protect his "kind" and prevent anyone from regaining an advantage. Welcome to the Planet of the Apes, Kansas City.
ReplyDeleteFuck this joke of a Mayor. Voters, it's time to take this fool of a politician to the trash where he belongs. He's worse than Funkhouser, and that's saying a lot.
ReplyDeleteAnother photo op isn't going to change a.damn thing!
ReplyDeletePhoto ops make everyhing better :-)
ReplyDeleteSly take out the trash? You mean he will finally wise up and fire Schulte?
