"On 29 and overheard the Mayor's staff talking about Sly's "strict orders" to Charter Review Committee Chairs. They are to have their work completed by the end of July. They will push for stronger Mayor proposal and no changes to Council Districts."
Remember that the push for Council Realignment also has the option of going to the courts.

Fundamental change in the council manager form of government coming.
ReplyDeleteThe grunts and clicks are getting louder near the upper jungle chest-beating area.
ReplyDeleteThe underlings have orders to shut me up, but I just keep bribing them with bromeliads and bananas.
BULLY!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhats next appearing a gaudy military style uniform with a chest full of medals and ribbons?
ReplyDeleteMayor doesn't know a thing about what Kansas City really needs. He's just taking orders.
ReplyDeleteThe Charter Review Chairs should immediately resign. They've been exposed as stooges in a dog & pony show. Their recommendations have already been assigned to them.
ReplyDeleteMr. Tony,
ReplyDeleteRegarding harassing Charter Committee members, if true, members MUST resign en masse. Failure to not uphold personal integrity will be duly noted.
Rewriting our Charter to include language that will ensure a "stronger mayor" ..WTF? Mr. Tony, either you are a strong leader or you become Putin and get false power.
I hope that our Mayor is not demented.
Coward Mayor.
ReplyDeleteWas Jim Rice sober enough to remember the mayor's orders?
ReplyDeleteEveryone knew their role from the beginning. March little soldiers. That means you too Sly you can be put back where you came from. Carry on.
ReplyDeleteJust because Tony says someone told him that someone on 29 said this, doesn't make it true.
ReplyDeleteThis is why journalists have standard practices and ethics; so we can have some confidence that what they write might actually be true.
Well fuck that Mayor and his "strict orders". Just who the hell does he think he is anyway??
ReplyDeleteFuck sly james
ReplyDeleteI hope when they review the charter they emphasise where the city limits end so the KC leaders don't have any more confusion on that..
ReplyDelete7:18, but when Tony's source is Jim Giles, it's probably true.
ReplyDeleteIf a strong mayor means firing Troy Schulte and his 15 assistant city managers, I'm all for it.
