Right now Kansas City is coping with flooding, busted streets and disgusting sewer runoff after what can only be described as a moderate Spring shower.
To wit . . .
DESPITE MASSIVE INCREASES IN TAXES AND WATER RATES . . . KANSAS CITY REMAINS HOME TO A GREAT DEAL OF OLD AND BUSTED INFRASTRUCTURE WITH NO SIGN OF IMPROVEMENT!!!

What's important here is to hold politicos accountable for their promises . . .
Mayor Sly begged and pleaded with Kansas City for the e-tax and even more infrastructure money as he has helped raised taxes 5 TIMES since he has been in office.
Meanwhile . . .
Local streets don't show much improvement and Brush Creek is still Kansas City's most disgusting open air sewer.
Of course the answer to so much fail is even more money mandated by the feds with along with higher water rates . . . Meanwhile, many parts of Kansas City are drowning in water and sewer infrastructure FAIL while Mayor and Council work on pet projects like a Toy train streetcar and an "emergency" soccer field.

ReplyDeleteSly is far from stupid. He's promised someone that toy train and he's going to deliver it. The city many be underwater and full of shit but he's gonna deliver that town train - oh and probably a new airport. His word to the taxpayers doesn't mean a thing but he's got to keep his word to the big boys you know. He wants to keep on being a player and with KJ thinking he's a playa he's going to need some bigger help there soon too.
