THE AGENDA SEEMS RATHER POLITICAL BUT I'M HOPING THEY'LL TAKE TIME TO PRAY FOR THE MISSING $15K GIVEN THAT CITY HALL HASN'T DONE MUCH TO SEEK A RETURN OF THE FUNDS!!!
Sadly, the fact that Kansas City can just give away $15k with nothing to show for it AND THEN ask for it back and nothing really happens has led TKC to despair . . . But then I watch some cartoons and it's all good.
Suggestion: Bob's Burgers happens to be some really funny stuff. But I digress . . .
And so . . . We can only hope that Kansas City leaders care more about matters of faith than they seem to about finances. Given the constant increase of local taxes and a lack of accountability for missing cash at City Hall, voters must realize that the ability of the Council to manage public money is kind of a joyful mystery. Maybe a focus on the ethereal is more in line with their skill set.

Announcing A City Wide Faith Community Conference
GREETINGS!
It is my great honor to lead The Concerned Clergy Coalition in hosting this 1st Annual City Wide Faith Conference. It is my hope and prayer that you will join us in making this a success. We have had numerous conversations about really coming together to bring about solutions to the issues in Kansas City. Now is the time for us to show unity and cooperation like never before. We have been working in isolation long enough, so I invite you to join this effort to bring to life John 17 ...that they might be one... It was the Lord's Prayer for us.
If this is something you feel your organization can support, please consider the group registration and sending at least 20 of your leaders to the conference. Individual registrations are available for a cost of $ 10. A flyer with detailed information is attached for your review.
We will be looking to continue our Task Force work in the areas of Youth/Education, Health/ Wellness, Violent Crime, Race/Community Relations and Economic Development after the conference has ended. We are encouraged that once people hear the work we are engaged in, they will want to join us in the work. Note that non-clergy and others are able to join the work of any Task Force.
I really believe God is up to something with this effort and I look forward to you joining our excitement and the work.

ReplyDeleteThe city just let Brooks give conman Ossco Bolton $15K to not have to go through any kind of application process - because he could never accomplish it - to start up his wanna be music company so he can charge a bunch of kids $1.25 per joint for to string along urban youths that they're going to be rap stars. He can pocket the $15K, tell the city and all the other believers that he's helping the poor black youth do positive tunes and pocket their $1.25 per tune. He wasn't making any money begging the same ole for dough so now they're going to put up a slick website and charge for the kids music. ReplyDeleteFacts - we know Councilman Brooks is responsible because he admitted to advocating for the money from the City Manager. The City Manager also said the request came from Councilman Brooks. There is no denying these facts. The councilman is responsible for the funds.

Brooks got Schulte to go outside of normal policy to cut a check for $15k. Brooks gave the check to Ossco Bolton for a POSSE event because the dumbasses thought it was a good idea to bring a violent fighter and I don't just mean in the ring to tell kids how they should be living their lives. None of these crooks, liars and cons should be telling kids anything but I digress. Bolton cashed the check but never held the event no matter how stupid or misguided it was.
