Kansas City infrastructure remains old and busted in every part of town but recently NBC Action News asked an important question . . .
Does the fire hydrant in front of your home or your child's school actually work?
It's an important story but I'm not sure why fire hydrants in front of schools should be any different than the rest of this town's old and busted infrastructure.
Who cares about fire hydrants when we can have a streetcar? Sometimes you just have to have your priorities in order.
ReplyDeleteIf it has a white plastic box around the hose connection it does not work. It is put there to tell the KCFD to try another one down the street.

ReplyDeleteYou are so correct. Thank you.
Does anything, including the employees of Kansas City, work? I didn't think so. So, my response to the question of whether the hydrants work is probably not. What's new?
ReplyDeleteFailure in a city structure usually starts at the TOP and rolls downhill, so nothing in Kansas city works including fire hydrants and EMS response times.
