It's worth noting here that the City Manager is now out of favor with the Mayor and more than a few on the Council resent him for not really having an opinion on much . . .
City Manager Troy Schulte will get $205,000 a year and a chance at 10 percent bonuses as part of a 2.5-year contract extension approved Thursday.
Still . . . It's nice to see somebody get rewarded for writing $15k checks for no-show events and a string of mistakes that have cost this town millions. In fairness, he's still better than the last guy.
Troy is a nice guy. That's all that matters TKC.
ReplyDeleteSo did Cauthen and we saw what happened to him!
ReplyDeleteWhat a load of SHIT!
ReplyDeleteKC is a corrupt shithole.
WELCOME TO DETROIT
Schulte ok'd the $15k at the DEMAND of one of his bosses, Michael Brooks. Can't blame the manager for Brooks's dirty dealings.
ReplyDeleteYes you can. Troy needs to get a backbone.
ReplyDeleteDidn't World War II teach you anything?
"I was just following orders" is no longer an acceptable excuse.
the city manager needs the balls to say no to people like brooks.
ReplyDeletewhen do city employees get raises?
Disgusting. That's all you can say about it but there's really nothing to about it. Watch it play out KC.
ReplyDeleteTony,
ReplyDeleteWhy no announcement of Taxpayers United President Sherwood Smith's budding campaign to replace Sexy Cindy Circo on as the Council member from Local 42 Firefighters Union?
Submitted for your approval:
Councilman Smith said at the Thursday Business Meeting:
Fuck you give me more money! Do you wanna see this fucking city burn? Do you want to hear your pets and family scream as fire consumes them? Fuckin' give me the money! Not gonna put up with this shit any more. I want everyone's money. I mean business.
Paid for by a secret committee controlled by people who smell like smoke, "sparky", Treasurer.
How do you know when Troy is lying? His lips are moving. They should have FIRED his sorry ass instead of a 2.5 year contract.
ReplyDeleteCrook!
ReplyDeleteMichael Brooks is da crook
ReplyDeleteComparing him to the last guy isn't really fair. That's like saying Kruschev was better than Stalin. Either way the end results were disastrous.
ReplyDeleteFinally an EXCELLENT analysis.
ReplyDeleteComparing Troy to Wayne Cauthen is ridiculous. Cauthen was a malevolent, evil prick with major halitosis and periodontal issues. He didn't give two shits about Kansas City. Troy cares about this city, he's smart, and if the mayor and clowncil would quit meddling, he could do a terrific job.
ReplyDeleteI work with the City Hall a lot, and even though I consider it to be completely fucked up, Troy actually does a really good job.
ReplyDeleteTroy Schulte is a worthless hack and has absolutely no business being in the position he's in. A raise? The son-of-a-bitch should have been shown the door but hey, this is Kansas City, known for NOTHING.
ReplyDeleteCan anyone justify paying Schulte that kind of money?? Jeez, it's damned near what the Prez of the US makes. No, the job isn't worth that ridiculous salary. Just some more "throwing money away".....Who cares??
ReplyDeleteDetroit is STILL better than your shitty, tract house suburb.
ReplyDeleteAnd KC is better than Detroit.
Pathetic! A raise for what. He ibviously doesnt know his job duties to sign a check without the formal procedures either. Their all theives. He had to know.
ReplyDeleteObviously, I missed the memo on Troy's accomplishment as City Manager. I don't believe that he or the Mayor have done anything. A raise for what? And Cauthen did do a better job than Schulte. Cauthen's work/performance was visible rather you liked it or not...Schulte?? The only thing you know about is his bad judgment in giving a $15k check to Brooks. He does not deserve to be making this kind of money.
ReplyDeleteThere's not a damn thing the citizens can do about it now but 1. move 2. vote all of the city council out 3. vote sly out Otherwise it will just be status quo here we go.
ReplyDeletebullshit, bullshit, bullshit this whole city council and sly are full of bullshit!
