Kansas City Royals naming Hall of Famer George Brett is simply the latest insult to Kansas City history committed by one of our mediocre professional sports franchises.
To wit . . .
KANSAS CITY MAINSTREAM MEDIA IGNORES THE FACT THAT GEORGE BRETT CAN'T HELP THE ROYALS AND HE'S NOW BASICALLY BEING USED AS A PROP DESPITE HIS WINNING LEGACY!!!
Sure, George Brett is treated like Superman whenever he steps into anyplace in this town . . . But now we see why formerly great ball players leave their small pond in order to avoid embarrassment.
Once again corporate propaganda cheapens everything about Kansas City.
Perspective:
George Brett never got past being the big fish in the small pond and that's why he's only a legend in Kansas City.
Admittedly, he's the most talented baseball player this town has ever seen but already the fanboys are celebrating his arrival when his coaching skills are nominal at best. Mr. Brett's career path after baseball has been mostly about PR and now he's simply taking his marketing game to the dugout. Kansas City Royals suffer from a hitting slump but their problems are far greater than any pep talk could hope to solve. This move damages not only Brett's legacy but also the memory of his Kansas City career.
Sadly, all of this is more than corporate media is willing to explain. And, yet again, taxpayer subsidized Kansas City Royals marketing continues in lieu of a more EXPENSIVE effort to rebuild the team and offer better baseball to fans.

Was looking for that video for quite awhile.
ReplyDeleteHow long will it be before he steps in front of a mic and cameras and talks about "pooping" his pants again. The man has a fetish.
ReplyDeleteBrett's got chunks of guys like you Tony, running down his leg.
ReplyDeleteLook at it this way. He couldn't fuck up the team any more than it already is.
ReplyDeleteLook, nobody really gives a fuck about the Goddamned Royals OR Chiefs. The fact is, they both suck real bad and have for years. Nothing to see here, move along..
ReplyDeleteOR, you might get to watch (and smell) George Brett shit in his pants AGAIN!! What a fucking jerk.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he will s*** on you next time f****** turd
DeleteHe's a legend in his own mind and a love of all local TV stations. I saw him spit on the floor at a local restaurant. Real class act all right.
ReplyDeleteGeorge's job is to kick Hosmer, Moose & Frenchie in the butt. He can do it...with authority, and it will work. Mark my words.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous wouldn't know a legend if he bit him on the leg.
ReplyDeleteBrett has absolutely no class and/or style. The stories of his asshole attitude are legion and some, I have seen first hand. The guy is a wealthy, fucking jerk. Not much more.
