SHAME ON THIS "KILLA CITY" T-SHIRT!!!

Kansas City is rife with d-bags making horrible fashion statements but recently I noticed one of the worst advertisements for this cowtown in recent memory.

To wit . . .

TAKE A LOOK AT THIS TRAGIC KANSAS CITY T-SHIRT NOTING OUR "KILLA CITY" REPUTATION!!!

Actually, I was thinking that there seemed to be a bit of progress in the fight against local violent crime as of late with a great many politicos starting to contribute to the effort to reduce homicides in addition to a somewhat lower murder count for this time of the year.

Right now Kansas City counts 29 murders compared with 37 at this time last year and 25 at this date on the calender in 2011.

Anyhoo . . . I don't know the karma that comes along with a wearing a shirt that seems to claim bragging rights for one of the most shameful stats in this town. But against my better judgement I'll link to the t-shirt vendor in order show the many different colors that this silly shirt comes in . . . So that we can witness a variety of local stupidity on display.

On an interesting and somewhat related note . . . The 816/913 logo on the back of the tee was kind of creative and reminds me of the old "OneKC" tag that was an equally misguided notion.

More in a bit . . .

  9. Good job, Tony. Thanks for giving this yayhoo way more publicity than he or she deserved (thereby providing a brief but nevertheless likely jump in sales of the shirt and allowing someone to profit from the city's terrible reputation). It's even better that you provided a direct link. That way, I don't have to take the step of typing in an address.

Maybe next time Glazer posts something, you could provide a direct link to his comedy club.
