A headline that gives us just a bit more perspective on the "strong Mayor" form of government that's coming up AND the "win at all costs" mentality that now dominates City Hall.
Mayor wants streetcar opponents to pay
Like it or not, the implication here is clear . . . Standing against Mayor Sly James is costly.
DEVELOPING . . .
Fuck that dude. Talk about a giant load of shit. Can we get a regular person to be Mayor for once? We elect the most retarded people!
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to riding the street car and I also look forward to its expansion.
ReplyDelete6:14 wants to expand his rectum around Sly's weenie as well.

ReplyDeleteThis asshole of a mayor thinks he's the asshole of a president as well.
Oh, go to hell, you NIGGER of a Mayor. You don't control anything, especially most people. Dumb assed jerk.
ReplyDeleteWhat in the world is the big rush about? KCMO did ok without streetcars for 50 years, how does it hurt to make sure Sly's rigged election was legal.
ReplyDeleteFunny how we don't see or hear from Russ anymore. Do you think those reports of coming out of the closet are true?
ReplyDeleteLet's check Sly's scorecard. He is totally unwilling to listen to the will of the people about the trolley issue. Now he wants to deny citizens their day in court.
ReplyDeleteTell ya what, NIGGER. You want in one hand and shit in the other....the one that fills the quickest is the winner!
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping that the Funk's single term begins a new tradition here in KC.
ReplyDelete7:51 - ME TOO!
ReplyDeleteIf its un-democratic to let 500 people decide whether or not to build a streetcar, its 250 times more undemocratic to let people (and their shadow, out-of-the-city financial backers) decide.
ReplyDeleteGood for Sly. You two yahoos should have paid your TDD tax. Its under $1000/year a piece. And both of them have directly benefited from public $$ investments in downtown.
I'm glad we finally have a mayor willing to stick up for VOTERS and not kowtow to 2 non-voting whiners 9one of whom doesn't even live in the city) and the 1 large corporation they are shilling for.
ReplyDeleteLast week, local media was reporting that Kansas City might "piggy-back" on Cincinnati's streetcar order to save money/streamline the process.
ReplyDeleteThis week, Cincinnati is realizing that no matter what they do, their streetcar project is going to cost WAY more than they originally proposed (it always does) and they're considering the possibility of CANCELLING the construction.
How come the local media isn't sharing THAT information with us? And do you think The Mayor and Russ Johnson will even let someone SUGGEST that to them?!
I remember the day when Tony was Sly's biggest shill and cheerleader. Quaint to think about.
ReplyDeleteTrue dat.
ReplyDeleteSounds like the Sly James method of negotiation alright.
