MORE THAN ANYTHING MAYOR SLY'S TENURE SO FAR HAS BEEN DEFINED BY THE FACT THAT HE HAS LED THE CHARGE TO RAISE KANSAS CITY TAXES NO LESS THAN FIVE TIMES AND HE IS THE CHAMPION OF THE TOY TRAIN STREETCAR!!!
Without question Mayor Sly is a pro-development public official. Also, the line about winning is kinda funny because the TKC Blog Community realizes that behind the scenes Mayor Sly has also brought the "win at all costs" philosophy of politics to City Hall.
These are my observations supported by facts . . .

ReplyDeleteMost of our past mayors took a couple of terms to fall in line with the developers and the grifters. Sly has accomplished it in his first term. If that's success, Sly is doing a bang up job.

ReplyDeleteWhat do you base that statement on? To a person, EVERYONE that I have ever heard talk about Sly has been unhappy and disillusioned with his performance. Mayor Sly's actions are far different than Candidate Sly's words, and actions speak louder than words.
I confess I was one of the many voters who were duped into voting for him in the last election, but I can assure you I won't make that mistake again.
