‘Ban the box’ passes, city employment applications to change

Despite some very serious and thoughtful objections to this effort the support for the "ban the box" initiative won the day and now there's even less incentive to avoid jail time in Kansas City thanks to politicos hoping to level the playing field between former offenders and other applicants who don't have criminal backgrounds.
