KANSAS CITY MAINSTREAM MEDIA HAS FAILED TO REPORT THAT THE HEALTHCARE LEVY IS MOSTLY DEDICATED TO KANSAS CITY FUNDING TRUMAN MEDICAL CENTER WITH AN EXCEPTIONALLY GENEROUS CUT OF THE TAX!!!

IF THE KANSAS CITY QUESTION ONE PASSES AND THE HEALTH CARE LEVY EARNS 9 MORE YEARS OF VOTER FUNDING . . . 15 OF EVERY 22 CENTS WILL GO TO TRUMAN MEDICAL CENTER!!!

For critics of this sloppy ordinance, this kind of voter subsidy is troubling.

"There's a great deal of importance placed on funding Truman but almost nothing built into the ordinance in terms of oversight. If taxpayers are going to be picking up the bill, I want more accountability for how this institution spends its money and so far NOTHING is in place that strictly lays out a plan for INCREASED accountability given this increased subsidy. Furthermore, if Obamacare passes. Expect this to be a NIGHTMARE scenario for KCMO. All bets are off."

SO MUCH LONG-TERM SUBSIDY FROM TAXPAYERS IS BASICALLY NOTHING MORE THAN A KANSAS CITY TAKEOVER OF TRUMAN MEDIAL CENTER!!!

Sadly, dead tree media would rather pass a sloppy and EXPENSIVE tax rather than risk asking questions about finances directed toward Kansas City's power brokers or show any concern that local health care funding amid the implementation of Obamacare looks to be hot mess. 

The vote is scheduled for April 2nd, 2013.
