Harsh times for transitional housing aspect of program that serves as an alternative to the Prison Industrial Complex. Northeast News: "Now, the grants have expired and funding ran out Feb. 1, 2013. Kansas City Municipal Drug Court (KCMDC) applied for additional funding but to no avail. Due to tighter municipal budgets across the U.S., grants are becoming more competitive, said Drug Court Coordinator and Probation Manager Stephanie Boyer."

That's too bad; drug court helps get offenders into treatment and keep open prison space for violent offenders.
ReplyDeletetoo bad COMBAT can't be bothered to help out. They are not in the business to deal with illegal drugs in the county, which includes part of Kansas City. Oh, no. They are there to fund.... hmmm... now what the hell do they do? Don't ask Stacey . She won't know. Better to ask the real guy, Jim "give me my public due" Nunnelly. Or his bitch, Mike Sanders.
