Accountability isn't the same thing as a "blame game" no matter what the Mayor proudly proclaims while wearing somebody else's uniform.
Anyhoo . . .
NOTICE THAT THE JJ'S INFERNO HOT MESS STILL RAGES AS HEARTLAND MIDWEST STRUGGLES TO STAY CLEAR OF DISASTER BLAME!!!
TKC fun fact . . . Their website is still down as we reported a couple of days ago . . .
Anyhoo . . . Here's a roundup of recent reporting . . .
Official timeline for JJ's investigation
Heartland Midwest says they filed permit before explosion
Great headline . . .
New blame game culprit in JJ's explosion: fax machine
Bottom Line . . .
RYAN KATH REPORTING REVEALS THAT NOBODY CAN YET PROVE THAT HEARTLAND MIDWEST HAD AN APPROVED CONTRACT BEFORE THE DISASTER!!!
And that's kinda the point . . .
Meanwhile, as the deets get sorted out we see Mayor Sly keeping a lower profile which is probably for the best.
Let the lies begin. Spin will be hopeless and isn't advised.
ReplyDeleteWho's going to be doing all the digging for the toy train boondoggle?
ReplyDeleteCity needs to talk with their crony contractors working down there on The West Edge of Hell first. Then they can decide who will be the fall guy. Over drinks at the club.
ReplyDeleteMayors scheduled for a Harlem Shake photo ops the rest of the week. So progress may be slow on this.
ReplyDeleteAnyone care to speculate about the ethnicity of the clerks who failed to issue the permit?
ReplyDeleteI knew the explosion at JJ's was somehow related to Google and the mad rush for the golden fiber.
ReplyDeleteIf you think the permitting process is bad in Public Works, the City better hope no one starts poking around Wilson Wynn's shop.
ReplyDeleteYou mean Wilson Winn, dumbass?
ReplyDeleteAutocorrect- asshole!
ReplyDeleteTKC blames white people for this in ten, nine, eight,.......
ReplyDeleteThe potential liability of subcontractors is important from a financial perspective, but we have work to do before we focus on financial issues.
ReplyDeleteThe death and injuries could have been avoided if KCFD had taken charge of the area and evacuated the building.
If KCFD had done its job, we would only be concerned with questions of who will pay for the financial expense of property loss.
Since KCFD did not do its job, we have more weighty matters to address -- with extreme prejudice
We should not take our eye off the ball. Policies and tactics must change, and the failed chain of command must be held accountable for loss of life, health and innocence.
9:57, you are a moron. If the contractor would have called MGE or KCFD right after they hit the line, then we wouldn't be talking about this and the girl would still be alive. They waited 4 hours to call the gas company who was on scene when the fire dept. arrived. The gas company assured the fire dept. that they had the situation under control. You don't even sound like a dumb attorney. Get the facts you flute blower and stop blaming people when you have no clue. Fuck stain!!!!

ReplyDeleteHow are things at the firehouse? Did you ever get your voice back? You sure did not use your voice to evacuate the building, so we can only assume that you had something caught in your throat.
The gas company has no authority to waive off the fire department; therefore, it was the firefighters' decision to cede control of the situation which legally rests with them. You might as well say that there were customers on the scene so the firefighters went back to the firehouse to watch Dr. Oz.
ReplyDeleteThe JimmyCsays blog has a more thoughtful discussion of this issue. His last two posts are very interesting.
ReplyDeletestill say it was too close to the firehouse dinner hour. Let the victims eat flames while KCFD roars back to eat cake.
ReplyDeleteIs the radio chatter between the firetruck and dispatch archived?
Xbox, hyvee, price chopper. Will you morons please come up with some better slams on the F.D.? I'm not amused anymore. So sad. I love to read such funny comments that matter to no one. Don't you realize that nobody of any importance reads this fat Mexicans bog. I read it for the amusement but haven't been amused for weeks. You guys suc ass!
ReplyDeleteDamn, 4 anony commetators from JoCo who spend all day on blogs really hate the Fire Department in KC, I guess...
ReplyDeleteLeave it to the KC media to start a pissing match over whether there was a permit to dig a trench that was going to get dug come hell or high water.
ReplyDeleteSue the azz off of KCFD.
ReplyDeleteJohn Gorman should have his own blog, and that is not a complaint.
