FINDING KANSAS CITY'S MISSING $15K NOW SEEMS LIKE A LOST CAUSE AND JUST ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF CITY HALL CORRUPTION AT WORK FROM ONE YEAR TO THE NEXT!!!
However . . .
ON THE BRIGHT SIDE HERE'S A FIRST LOOK AT A PROMO FOR ANOTHER EVENT THAT HAS BEEN OFFERED UP AS A POOR SUBSTITUTE!!!
Notice the lack of a venue or time for the event along with a City Hall symbol shown the the bottom of the image.
Council Dude and Pastor Michael Brooks has refused to answer any real questions about the missing cash and has referred reporters to the legal department for further inquiry.
Meanwhile, the total lack of responsibility from anyone at City Hall for the missing money starts the New Year on a note of CORRUPTION from our City Council and local government that refuses to be held accountable for their mismanagement.

ReplyDeleteI find it interesting that the print and broadcast "News Media" are totally ignoring this whole thing. I appreciate that Tony is continuing to publicize this debacle. No doubt the people involved in this corruption and theft are sitting back waiting for us all to get distracted by other stuff, like we tend to do, and forget about this incident.

ReplyDeleteThis is bigger than the $15k, the way Brooks abused his position to get it, or the way the money went to a joke of an organization that is totally unaccountable and not even properly registered with the State or as a non profit.
ReplyDeleteThis is also about the same old grifters, such as Ossco Bolton and Ron Hunt, skimming cash from the City using Council connections. They most likely never intended to pay for the boxer, as $15k would never have covered that. But why do we let horrible role models and events of questionable value occur with tax dollars, seemingly mostly on the City's east side, when they will do the audiences or causes absolutely no good? And you can include candle light vigils, balloon releases and all that in the mix.
How is a boxer whose main focus is money and who uses violence to earn that money, and who has a criminal record of violence begin to be a fit role model for our young people? How does even a fit role model change a young person's life with a 20 minute chat? As an east side resident ( and every resident regardless of location should care about this ), I'm tired of these empty shows that deliver no results but spend my money, and yours.
Michael Brooks, is your brain even switched on?? Or did you wrangle the money for other reasons??
The money should be returned. Ossco Bolton seemed almost defiant on KCTV-5 when asked about the whereabouts of the funds.
Michael Brooks should resign his council position and should do so immediately. Quit dodging questions under the guise of an ongoing investigation. You are a part of that investigation and need to come clean. It's time to man up, speak up, step up, and resign.
Ossco Bolton and Ron Hunt could join Michael Brooks in the trunk of the Lexus.
