Albert Riederer passed away this morning.
He had suffered a long battle with cancer.
Remember that Dead Tree Media recently paid tribute to the former Jackson County Prosecutor.
To be fair . . . A great many people didn't like him and cited him for a great deal of Kansas City patronage. Doesn't matter, he's no longer with us.
R.I.P Albert Riederer and a passing epoch of Kansas City politics.

ReplyDeleteThe only good lawyers and politicians are dead ones.
Kansas City has lost a good man and an authentic public servant - in the truest sense of the word. My deepest sympathies to Sandy and the family.
ReplyDeleteI agree with 11:18 and 11:23
ReplyDeleteI appreciate the fact that he tried to do good.
ReplyDelete11:18 = jackass
ReplyDeleteCivilized people know when to be respectful.
ReplyDeleteAlbert The Red-Nosed Riederer...
ReplyDeleteWhat do you call 10,000 lawyers on the bottom of the ocean?
A good start.
Everybody loves lawyer jokes.
ReplyDeleteLawyers most of all, which is why I stopped telling them.
Al was a nice guy who would have done even better had he not been involved in politics.
Albert used every position he had to help himself and his wife i am sorry he was a predator who make millions on the backs of the people who lost coverage in the insurance bankruptcy he settled. He took alot more than he gave of course thats the definition od a civic leader.

ReplyDeleteCivilized people know when to resist propaganda about scumbag politicians and lawyers being saints when they finally take the dirt nap.

ReplyDeleteThe best part about burying dead politicians and lawyers is that one needn't dig a hole - they are so crooked that you can just screw them into the ground like an auger.
Dont let the auger hit you in the ass Al
ReplyDeleteObviously, most of the commenters here never knew or worked with Albert. Otherwise, they would be showing a lot more respect. He was a great man and a great friend to many people, and he did great good for our community. But feel free to sit on your ass, doing nothing, and criticize those that did something, even when they pass. You're real fucking classy. Godspeed, Albert, and thank you.
ReplyDeleteNo one will care or remember in a week or even less. Except his immediate family.
ReplyDeleteRIP Albert, condolences to the family.
ReplyDelete4:33 Maybe you should do a little research on all of the people that Albert helped. There's a lot of them out there that will mourn his loss with a lot more dignity than you possess.
ReplyDelete4:43 Maybe you should do a little research on all of the people that don't give a rats ass. There's a lot of them out there that will ignore his loss with a lot more dignity than you possess.
ReplyDeleteAnother day, another dead lawyer.
ReplyDeleteCall it progress.
The harshness and ugliness of some of these comments is shocking, espcially when one considers what a great man Al Riederer was. He would never speak that way of people, whether he knew them or not. None of the people writing those hateful comments knew him. Too bad people like Al have to die while people like Tony's commenters still walk the earth, albeit on all fours.

ReplyDeleteTake a deep breath 5:57...
There now.
Here's your woobie blanket.
Better?
5:57 is 100% correct. It disgusts me that some of the people on this blog live in my community.
ReplyDeleteOK 8:04, let's all have a moment of silence to honor...something.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteWill Westboro Baptist Church be attending?
I agree 100 percent with Tony
ReplyDeleteAl helped the Prosecutors who worked for him.
ReplyDeleteSome are now quite famous.
Mean Jean is being sued, already, by THREE former prosecutors.
Go figure.
8:30 What you should honor is a man that spent his life working to better his community. It's called common decency.
ReplyDeleteWhen can I fuck the body?
ReplyDeleteDid Albert leave a note or something with his secrets on how to loot an insolvent insurance company??
