Check this photo we pilfered and subsequently retouched, made our own for fair-use parody and informational purposes in order to give the public a good look at their Kansas City, Missouri political representation.
Missouri State Senators Representing Kansas City . . . From Left To Right:
Sen. Paul Levota, Sen. Shalonn "Kiki" Curls, Sen. Jolie Justus and Sen. Jason Holsman.
Sadly, it looks like they're at the Arrowhead owner's booth which isn't a good sign.
They should be in the parking lot throwing rocks at Clark's booth instead.
ReplyDeleteWTF are they doing there? Bull shit!
ReplyDeleteAnd Justus wants to be a council person and Jason wants to be mayor?
ReplyDeleteNo way in Hell if they chum around with Clark Hunt.
But chruning around with Clark Hunt and all the other KCMO swells is exactly HOW you get elected to the council or become mayor.
ReplyDeleteBeing a politico is KCMO isn't about public policy or actually doing anything for the people who live here. It's about how imporant you are, what free goodies you can get given to you, and what you're going to run for next.
They're doing what's right for THEM. That's why the other party has a veto=proof majority in the state legislature and the residnets of Jackson County and KCMO regularly get screwed by what happens in Jeff City.
And the voters will keep electing people just like this.
I don't know how many times Kiki Curls has run unopposed. It's heartbreaking to know that people in Kansas City are so irresponsible that she gets voted in with relative ease. As long as residents are unconcerned about politics in their district, this type of landslide will continue to occur for the wrong people. You've made your bed so keep wallowing in it.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the troughs runneth over.
ReplyDeleteIt's a new team of super heroes: The Irrelevent Four.
ReplyDeleteThese guys SUCK
ReplyDeleteThey are all worthless and of no influence in Jeff City, and if Clark Hunt thinks he needs to buy them off with cheap tickets, he's even dumber than everyone thought!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like four used car sales people to me.
ReplyDeleteAre they trying out for the Chief's Team?
ReplyDeleteAre they trying out for the Chief's Team?
ReplyDeleteAre they trying out for the Chief's Team?
ReplyDeleteThe Four Huck and Shuckateers.
ReplyDeleteUnbelievably depressing
The reaction to this photo is why Democrats are missing the boat on job creation. Clark hunt is one of the largest employers in Kansas City. Every Sunday thousands of people get to feed their family because of his enterprise. From the parking attendant to the beer vendors. These four will be all of their representatives in Jefferson City, not just Clark Hunt, but also Clark Hunt, see he is the owner. Republicans get this aspect of respecting business leaders. I'm glad to see a few Democrats doing their jobs. Yeah, its at a game, no different than touring a factory, at the factory.
ReplyDeleteIt's not buying votes to build a relationship. Maybe if Mayor Funkhouser had built a relationship with Neal Patterson, we wouldn't be playing soccer in Kansas and Bannister Mall wouldn't still look like the coming apocalypse.
Just wait and see on how dumb Holsman is that guy could not lead his way out of a paper bag! We are in trouble on this side of the state.
ReplyDeleteSour grapes from Team Crystal. You lost it. Get over it.
ReplyDeleteI like these folks except Kiki. BRING BACK SEN. WILSON!!!
ReplyDeleteEmpirically, professional sports teams have proven to be money losers when it come to ROI on public dollars. This is even true when tertiary and other downstream, indirect economic benefits are credited to them.
ReplyDeleteInstead of spending tax dollars subsidizing money losing enterprises that only provide dead end, placeholder jobs, policy makers should focus on paying for things that promote social and economic mobility that is, creating and raising the next generations of taxpayers.
Maybe if the Republicans realized this, they would not be facing shrinking state budget revenues every year and would hold another Senate seat or even the Presidency.
Empirically, the state puts in 2 million to the Chiefs and the sales taxes generated for the state by the Chiefs are 20 million, not to mention the arts and entertainment taxes and all the television station revenue from ad sales. But, by all means, don't let facts get in the way of your ideology.
ReplyDeleteBy all means,1:49, carve out only those tax dollars that support your ideology (i.e. state sales taxes). Ignore any other costs or support, including those cited by independent study after independent study.
ReplyDeleteSecondly, learn the definition of "empirical".
By the way, when was the last time Omaha was used as a synonym for "failure" or "futility" the way Kansas City professional sports teams are (i.e. the Royals or dancing Chiefs)? I'd rather the City be known for excellence in the arts, restaurants, BBQ- even the land of Jesus' return (for the Mormon crowd).
Four ugly losers. It doesn't matter if they win their elections, they are still losers.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the two women eat real good and never exercise except for their mouths either talking or eating.
