We'll all miss these puff pieces after the paywall goes up . . . I didn't learn anything but it made me feel good about Kansas City's political ruling class:
‘The right thing’ remains lawyer Albert Riederer’s motto
As with anybody powerful Kansas City political figure . . . Some people offer praise while even more talk smack off the record. There's some important perspective on Mr. Riederer's help in promoting the careers of current Kansas City leaders in this piece that seems to want to affirm a local political legacy.
If he's actually repsonsible for any of the current crop of KCMO "leaders", he has some serious explaining to do!
ReplyDeleteSo when's the celebratory dinner?
I don't know who gave the Star the idea that writing obituaries before somebody died was a good thing. It's condescending to the subject and the readers.
ReplyDeleteHope you got his card, Tony. This way, the next time you get sued, maybe he can recommend a real attorney for you.
ReplyDeleteOh Yes. I remember old "Make a Deal Al", the guy who gave KC's worst serial killers a slap on the hand. Amazing how the press rewards these kinds of ass holes.
ReplyDeleteAl was a dickhead prosecutor, to any cop needing to file a shooting or serious assault case. Fuck him and his legacy.
ReplyDeleteAlbert made Millions on the insurance receivership that he managed also made himself a judge two times and his terrible wife who won't even carry his name..Albert was the King of patronage under Holden.Dont insult us with he cared ,it was always about money and power.
ReplyDeleteHim and Nutter are both going to meet the grim reaper and now they are good people what a joke.
ReplyDelete9:32 am...you are so true. Both are the white side of the KC go to fail recipe.
ReplyDeleteGrim Reaper will have everyone revenge.
ReplyDeleteAl never met a deal where he couldn't make a buck. He leveraged every opportunity and would push every legal envelope to turn a profit for himself. Hardly a noble mentor. He's scum.
ReplyDeleteMoney is the root of all evil. Albert chased the money. Albert, as all of us, will reconcile with his or her maker. His eternal fate is not for us to judge. Albert still has in his soul the ability to give a lot of money to worthy charities. But he won't.
