Most people with something decent to do are out there doing it this evening . . . In fact, I've got a busy night of video games that I need to get started.
So, we'll save POWER RANKINGS for another time and instead look at where we stand right now.
As we conclude this week, it's kinda sad that Kansas City still hasn't learned from mistakes.
For instance . . .
- This town is still desperately chasing tourism dollars that have yet to materialize.
- We're still on track to throw good money after bad as the Toy Train (rigged) "election" comes to a close . . . And fewer than 500 voters will commit Kansas City to paying hundreds of millions in a scheme that isn't going to work.
- Local government characters are starting to bicker with one another at a greater pace . . . And that's always fun.
- Global warming has benefited C-list Kansas City hot spots and the P&L District remains an unfulfilled promise that's also draining millions from this town.
Finally . . .
- Kansas City is now on place to count more than 100 murders on this balmy first weekend in December which reveals that local leadership would STILL rather ignore our most serious problems.
And all so we finish this Kansas City week and slouch toward the X-mas season full of cheer and a great many other sentiments.
More later . . .
You forgot the hotel.
ReplyDeletehope sly does too.
ReplyDeleteAnother week and kc circles the shitter.
ReplyDeleteC'mon. There's been hardly any murders this week.
ReplyDeleteThe night is young!
ReplyDeleteYou forgot the main event...who is best at black on black crime and killing other brothers.
ReplyDeleteThe Toy Train will fix all of the City's problems. Conventions will be begging to come here and all the new development will finally make P&L a suceess.
ReplyDeleteKansas City IS the shitter. We've gone far beyond just circling it....
