Brothers and Sisters,
Have you seen the news? Todd Akin is on a Nonsense Tour - what he's calling his "Common Sense Bus Tour" across Missouri. Every step along the way, he's been met with union members, seniors, women's health advocates and students trying to help him find some sense along the route. Friday morning, he stops in Kansas City.
Will you join us and rally Friday at Crown Center, 9:45 am to call attention to Todd Akin's nonsense? Then on Saturday, will you help talk with other union members at our Labor Walk at IBEW 124?
His nonsense? There's no shortage of examples:
Todd Akin opposes having any minimum wage - at all.
He said America should "get out of the business of Medicare and Medicaid."
Akin said student loans are a "Stage III cancer of socialism."
He also said he "doesn't like Social Security" and he's against the school lunch program.
On women's health? More nonsense.

If the Republican Party is stupid enough to make Akin their candidate for the Senate, then the people of Missouri are certainly stupid enough to elect him to office. Don't think so? Just watch!

But I DO believe the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way -- all of them who have tried to secularize America -- are responsible for 9-1-1.

I can not believe Akin is still getting play in these blogs. Doesn't matter what party you associate with, you pretty much know Akin is fried rice in this election. So freaken move on already.

And to point out that Taliban Todd's supporters are willfully ignorant bigots is not an opinion, it's a fact. They live in an alternate reality where science is scorned and 2,000 year old fairy tales are reality. Their only political strategy is to make shit up and then get obnoxiously angry about it. To think that Senator Taliban Todd is a possibility in this day and age is disgraceful. This guy wants to take us all back to the dark ages, and impose his version of sharia law on us all.
