Local blogger kcjazzlark provides more detail and perspective on Kansas City Area Jazz Club news than any other news outlet in the city . . . Still, one fact is clear . . .
NOTHING IS GOING TO REVIVE THE DEAD CORPSE OF KANSAS CITY JAZZ!!!
As a viable art form, the signature sound of Kansas City is nothing more than a footnote in history and something that is referenced and reenacted by local music places but not really part of a "jazz culture" that defined this town's glory days.
The kcjazzlark notes that local jazz fakers are now in the suburbs and moving to a corporate entertainment district which pretty much proves my point.
