This weekend just about everybody in my family was inundated by junk mail from our Jackson County legislator who has pretty much given up on reform.
Since I'm the only person that votes in my family . . . The rest have problems with immigration status and felonies or just don't care . . . I explained that this lady with the nice haircut is just some political hack who wants a promotion after only a few months in office, a makeover and spending most of her time in office talking trash about my blog at posh midtown bars.
And then it gets worse . . .
CRYSTAL WILLIAMS PARADES HER FAMILY AROUND IN HER LATEST CYNICAL BIT OF JUNK MAIL THAT'S CURRENTLY LITTERING KANSAS CITY!!!
So I'm forced to play the nice guy when I should be making horrible jokes. Damn. I'm pretty sure Mr. Peanut's hard earned money was spent on this junk mail just to piss off TKC readers.
So . . . Shout out to a regular TKC Commenter . . . It turns out Crystal strongly approves of unsolicited bulk mail.
Never mind that she's asking for a promotion despite overlooking her promises to "reform" Jackson County and without much time on the job at all.
Meanwhile . . . It's worth noting that her opponent Jason Holsman has focused more on trying to "walk his district" adding a bunch of volunteers and attending community meetings.

ReplyDeleteI have seen Williams walking around my neighborhood at least four times. Never seen Holsman walking the Waldo blocks. Seen his people but never him. He has a bunch of young people doing his walking for him.
So who trying to buy votes?
