TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! KANSAS CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS MELBA AND JERMAINE HAVE A "BLONDE" MOMENT!!!

Thanks to a City Hall insider . . . Here's a bit of insight about a recent controversial City Hall decision . . .

"Nobody at City Hall liked condemning those houses on the Eastside. But, the longer we waited the more money it would have cost to get started on the East Patrol project. The time constraints were all related to the financing of the project, sitting around and waiting is always the WORST thing when it comes to construction."

More . . .

"What EVERYONE was really disappointed with was the performance of the 3rd District Council members in conveying this information to their constituents and trying to find some kind of middle-ground."

There were even alternatives according to this insider:

"With KCPS sitting on top of many empty schools in the area, why didn't new the East Patrol project at least consider using the property or raze the land to relocate the project???"

Even mentioning those ideas could have refocused the conversation.

Instead, we hear there wasn't much accomplished in the "discussions" about the project in Councilman Reed's office . . .

The insider says, "It was definitely a BLONDE moment for 3rd District representation"

More . . .

"All of the other Council members and most City Staff believe that they dropped the ball."

  1. These two don't even know where the ball is. There are so many hard-working neighborhood folks who wouls really like opportunities to serve for the right reasons, and the same old names show up over and over again. And the same old backers, and the same old agendas, and the same old fail.
Rev Miles made hiss money, though. Guess that's what counts.

  2. Great post! When will the third district start holding their council members accountable? Will they forgive Melba's stupidity and Jermaine's gifting forever?

  3. "blonde moment"

    That's racist.

  4. KCPD should have stepped in and said "wait" They are losing a lot of good will by going along with the 27Th and Prospect site. Good God, it isn't as if this was the only land available in third district. A whole bunch of Land Trust lots have been draining Neighborhood and Community Services dollars for mowing and trash clearing. Just a bit down the street at 25Th are empty businesses. Three Friends burnt several years ago.
    Stupid is as stupid does.

  7. Melba is just older but Jermaine is as smart as a box of cut hair. He just doesn't have any depth to offer. Look at his facebook updates for shit sake...he can't spell a damn word correctly!

  10. KCPD is run by the police board. Whom on the board knows the area where the new station is being built better than anyone, and also is the puppet master of Jermaine Reed: Alvin Brooks. Does anyone know where Alvin stands on this issue? I've heard nothing about his position. His voice should have been the loudest, or among the loudest, in this discussion, along with the mentally deficient Curls and the unintelligent Reed. Or is Alvin in cahoots to get Miles money for his land?

Look to see who stands to benefit most from the placement of the new station, and you will have at least part of the answer.

  11. Two police stations a mere 13 blocks away from each other...that makes a lot of sense. When you have an area to cover that goes from state line to Independence you don't put two police stations within 13 blicks of each other. This deal stinks to high heaven.

  12. Jigs with blond hair are just so PROUD of their blackness. That's why they try to look white. Has there EVER been a NIGGER, born with blond hair?? I didn't think so either.
