Ferret Parent Skips Court Date Once Again

Examiner Follow-up on one of the most tragic stories in the metro this year: "One of the Grain Valley defendants in the case of a child who lost seven fingers in a pet ferret attack failed to show up for a court hearing on Thursday."

  1. It's hard to show up to court when you've been awake four days doing meth. You can't let anything get in the way of partying. Especially staying at home with a baby whose fingers might get chewed off by a ferret. But screw that. There is meth to do, I ain't watchin' no kid. That kids life will be hell thanks to these two worthless pieces of shit. I'm ready for every American to be on required birth control that is to only be taken out after age 25 and you prove to a panel of qualified people that you are able to actually care and pay for children. It's too easy for the morons of this world to keep reproducing. And it costs society too much. We just have idiots who breed criminals and welfare recipients who end up in prison that we all have to pay for.

  2. Who knew a ferret would eat off a child's fingers? Anyone? Anyone?

Doesn't the prosecutor have something better to do besides punishing parents who already feel horrible for what happened?

I RESENT that prosecutor/lawyers working for the government seem so adamant about bringing COSTLY LEGAL MISERY on top of already guilt-ridden citizens who pay their salaries!

Moreover I'm sure the parents feel horrible about that ferrel who maimed their beloved child. Who knew? Now comes the the government to bring the SHIT DOWN ON TOP OF THEM too.

SCREW you prosecutors! Leave people alone to suffer in private, as they will every day they look at their maimed child until they die!

  3. These parents need to be and deserve to be prosecuted. This baby, a BABY mind you in a swing no less, was not merely bitten. The ferrett chewed off 8 fingers. Where were the parents while this baby was crying out in pain and agony? That is the abuse. A responsible parent would have heard and responed at the first wail when the teeth broke the skin. They also deserve to lose custody.
    So there! NA-NA-NA-NA-BOO-BOO

  5. A friend's pet ferret bit my son on the knee when he was about six. I stomped the little bastard into a paste, right in front of them.

  7. Just how long does it take a ferret to chew off eight fingers of a child?
Calmly chewing, going off for a sip of water, comming back and chewing off a few more. Where were the child's bro.'s and sis.'s. They didn't hear the screams? How is it these parents have a choise not to show up to court? Let's hear from their lawyer, who will happilily stand up for them......and try to get them off scot free.

  8. If you have followed this story it was proven through cell phone records that neither "parent" was home in the middle of the night and left a baby alone. I didn't know ferrets chewed fingers off either but it is completely beside the point. A baby was left home alone!
