Think 20 years is a bit stiff. Lots of very well-to-do peeps enjoy their cocaine and pay well for it.
ReplyDeleteHere's another victimless crime guy sent away for filling a service that upscale people wanted and paid for.
Five years is plenty...not a slap on the hand, but not overly punitive either.
I think the government legal system, cops, prosecutors and judges have lost all perspective on the realities of American society.
Twenty years? A third of a life sitting in a cell? That's a VERY VERY LONG TIME for this crime!
Save that prison length for unremorseful violent rapes and lifetime disfigurations. Not dope selling crimes. That's insanity!

And explain what cops have to do with how long of a prison sentence a drug dealer gets?
