TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! MO HOUSE REP. BRANDON ELLINGTON LEADS A RALLY AGAINST KANSAS CITY VIOLENCE AND MURDER!!!

Here's the most important fact about a Saturday gathering on Kansas City's East side . . .

MISSOURI HOUSE REP. BRANDON ELLINGTON IS ONE OF THE FEW LOCAL ELECTED OFFICIALS MAKING EFFORTS TO ADDRESS THE INCREASED KANSAS CITY MURDER AND VIOLENCE NUMBERS THIS YEAR!!!

In the Northeast we like what Rep. John Rizzo is doing with a flurry of public safety resolutions . . .

Still . . . Sadly, most of us know that Kansas City hasn't had much luck confronting East Side crime and today Rep. Brandon Ellington worked to bring that problem to the forefront.

Friday we had a good discussion about the "Enough Is Enough" rally . . . A special thanks to the AWESOME TKC TIPSTER who sent us these photos . . .

It's encouraging that this was a diverse crowd and shows us that all of Kansas City is interested in helping to curb so much Kansas City homicide.

Still . . . This was a rally and not a vigil. What's REALLY important is the search for solutions at the GRASSROOTS level . . . This photo features a group of students that Rep. Ellington mentors and has helped to establish their own business P.R.E.S.S.

Former Councilman and Ad Hoc Group Against Crime Leader Alvin Brooks has long worked to prevent local violence . . . It's encouraging that he's cooperating with these new efforts.

Even as clouds loomed this group stood to show their support in finding community solutions to Kansas City violence.

On the far right of the photo featured above . . . Notice Jackson County Sheriff Candidate Dwon Littlejohn.

And again, seeing so much community involvement is encouraging. I know for a fact that Rep. Ellington is dedicated to including everybody in this effort and his collaboration with a number of groups like "Voices Of The People" along with any community groups who are actively working for solutions is an important move . . .

And we thought we should end this AWESOME PHOTO MONTAGE with a rather hopeful image.

  2. Why are the old suck drifters never present at Ellington's events? Finally a Representative from the east side that isn't run by Freedom Inc. Brandon keep up the good work

  3. Well what do you expect when the cops can't get the job done.

  4. Police can not get the job done because no one will talk to them. What do you think they are mind readers. If you want homicides to get solved then the crowds of ten to twenty people standing around when they happen need to talk. Instead they tell police, " I don't know shit bout shit." When clearly they saw everything. Instead they stand at for all of media to see and do their ghetto death dance. Just confirming for everyone how uneducated they are.

    1. They should spend more time trying to get answers, less time napping in cemetarys and parks. Worthless f**ckers. Overpaid worthless pricks

    2. Well the public does not want to work with them so Fuck it. Let them kill each other and the police will just clean it up. Might as well take a nap until there needed.

  10. Were they chanting "I don't know nothin'...I ain't seen nothin'...F the police"?

  11. I was going to applaud the effort, despite the fact that it will probably be meaningless, but then I saw Alvin Brooks in the photos. He's a parasite and a grifter. If Brandon means business, he needs to cut Brooks out of the picture.

Unfortunately, the gangster murderers were sleeping during the rally. When you stay up all night driving around looking for people to kill, you've got to sleep during the day. And since they only get outside info from text or twitter, they don't even know of the public outcry.

  17. 1121 They keep the same hours when they're in prison. Even in Seg.

  18. 7:59, Brooks should get the respect he deserves...Zero! Brooks made a big salary as head od Ad Hoc while he was serving on the City Council. That's an ethics violation, but no one wanted to be labeled a racist so no one fought it.

Everyone wants to blame the mayor, who has been in office for less than a year. Alvin Brooks has been a grifter feeding off the east side for years, yet no one holds him accountable for the increase in crime.

If Brandon has fresh ideas and new energy, move forward and shake off the hangers on and old time grifters like Brooks. The old establishment will just harm your efforts.

  19. How come White people never have rally's or candle light vigils? Oh, because they don't kill each other every fucking day. These are not helping anything. The only thing that would help stop the killings is if the media would stop putting it on the news. These thugs love to see what they did on the news. They could give a rats ass about vigils or marches. You jigs need to quit having so many kids and maybe there will be less crime. You know your kid is gonna end up selling dope or robbing people. Get your kids sterile right now and maybe life will get back to regular broadcasting.

  20. I agree. I was all ready to support Brandon until he lined up with the usual suspects. Alvin Brooks hasn't done a thing and if people are calling him it's to make payment arrangements to cover the cost of worthless prayer vigils. Alvin Brooks = Vampire; and the zombies continue walking the streets killing for sport.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Alvin Brooks=Jug-headed vampire.

  22. Someone needs to come up with a different strategy. The public vigils and prayer meetings aren't stopping people from gunning each other down. The number of murders just continues to go up and so will the number of vigils.

  23. If they would end the drug war, they could end all the gang violence.
