Chris Moreno Endorsements

I've told a few of you that I'm not really following some State Rep. Races this time around. I'm standing by that . . .

HOWEVER, I thought this latest press release was important because there are some notable Kansas City names making an endorsement.

And, thinking about it, I'm not playing that game the Star does . . . If I have information, I'm throwing it out there . . . Because, like it or not, that's what this blog thing is all about . . .

So here it is:

Chris Moreno Announces Endorsements from Community Leaders

Lee’s Summit, MO– Today Democrat candidate Chris Moreno is announcing several key endorsements for his campaign for State Representative. They are the following:

Lee’s Summit Councilman Allan Gray,

Lee’s Summit Councilman Brian Whitley

Lee’s Summit School Board Member Terri Harmon

Former Lee’s Summit Mayor Karen Messerli

Former Raymore Mayor Juan Alonzo

Former Kansas City Councilman and Office of Administration Director Kelvin Simmons

Jackson County Sports Authority Chairman Beto Lopez

Kansas City School Board Member and Democratic Committeeman Crispin Rea

Former Speaker Pro-Tem Jim Barnes

Former Minority Caucus Chairman and Buchanan County Commissioner Ed Wildberger

State Representative Leonard “Jonas” Hughes IV.

“I am proud to endorse my longtime friend Chris Moreno. I am highly confident in his ability to provide outstanding representation to the people of the 37th House District,” said Lee's Summit Councilman Allan Gray.

“Chris Moreno is an energetic leader that will work with both sides of the aisle to help our community,” said Former Lee’s Summit Mayor Karen Messerli.

“I have known Chris Moreno for several years and feel he will do a fine job for Raymore, and the entire 37th district, as State Representative,” said Former Raymore Mayor Juan Alonzo.

“Chris Moreno represents the qualities you want in a Missouri Democrat: Loyalty, Guts, Passion,” said KCMO School Board Member and Democratic Committeeman Crispin Rea

Regarding the endorsements, Chris Moreno had the following to say, "I am thankful to have the support of so many district, community and party leaders. I have worked tirelessly for Democrats and hardworking Missouri families across our state for over a decade and will continue working hard to earn every vote this August."

  1. There's nothing like an endorsement from a great public servant like Jonas Hughes to show that you're a serious candidate with really high standards.
Now we'll get to see how much screwing others in your consulting business can damage you as an actual candidate.
    Game on!

  2. He actually asked for Jonas Hughes' endorsement?

    ReplyDelete
  3. Is the distribution of that picture a dirty trick pulled by one of his opponents? MY GOD!

  8. Chris Moreno is awesome!

  9. Why does $32,000/year to accomplish absolutely nothing in Jefferson City each year appeal to anyone that has anything to contribute to society? It doesn't... That's why, by default, most state reps are jokes in the minds of informed individuals. You get paid for what you get, nothing and nobody.

  10. J. Grill, now this guy. Sometimes you just have to laugh at these postings.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Jonas Hughes?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Jonas Hughes gave an endorsement? Then why can't he show up to vote?

    ReplyDelete
  13. Job well done Moreno!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Chris, Are you recruiting endorsements from the movers and shakers in the community? If so, I'd like to join your campaign.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Looks like he's been eating too many tacos on the Blvd.

    ReplyDelete
  16. That's one thick dude

    ReplyDelete
  17. So I guess his consulting career didn't really work out.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I really like Moreno. We need more passionate democrats like him these days.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Kelvin Simmons supports him? It looks like the Governor still loves the kid.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Word. He's the ish.

Looking at Rep.'s endoresements & Brandon Ellington (www.electellington.com) has been endorsed by every Dem In JC. Congrads.

  24. Wow, I don't know how Moreno has time to campaign when he's spending a lot of time posting feel-good affirmations about himself on this blog.

To paraphrase the wise Stuart Smalley: Chris Moreno, you are not good enough, you are not nearly smart enough, and doggonit, people hate you.

    ReplyDelete
  25. 7:42...shut up Moreno.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Lots of names of nobodies with the word 'former' in front of them. Jonas Hughes?? Seriously? Moreno ought to be embarrassed to put Hughes on a (short) list of supporters. But then again, Chris is never embarrassed whether he's living out of a friend's house when he can't get a job or pay child support, losing political campaigns, alienating any respectable Democrat, lying about his (non-existent) career accomplishments, dressing or grooming himself, or filling blogs with stupid comments in his favor.

Moreno is one of the most pathetic creatures on God's green earth. Pity the fool who wastes a vote on him.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Chris is an exciting candidate. I look forward to supporting him.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Chris, you're such a loser. And a fat fuck.

Now I'm going to click my stop watch and see how long it takes you to slide your sausage fingers over your keyboard and post another "Yea Chris" comment. Everyone knows they are from you. Get a job, you dirty pig, and leave the honest public alone!

    ReplyDelete
  29. When I see folks like 7:54pm attacking a candidate like that, I honestly tend to support that candidate's campaign. I hope this guy Moreno wins!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Agreed 8:05. Pretty pathetic showing on the part of some people on here. Hope the guy wins his race.

    ReplyDelete
  31. 7:54 I disagree. Those are all phenomenal dems. You should not disrespect good dems like Karen Messerli, Juan Alonzo and Crispin Rea due to your obsession and hate.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Amen to that 8:13.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Well said 8:13. Racist comments and attacking others in our party says a lot about the quality of those attacking Moreno.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Wow Chris! Five comments in 36 minutes. You're pacing yourself dough boy!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Why has Chris been fired from nearly every job he's had? Answer: he can't deliver.

Despite claims of support (I'd have to hear it out of someone's own mouth they support Moreno, because Chris is a known liar), Moreno imploded a few years ago and has never recovered. I hope people are a little more discriminating than to mark a circle for a candidate based on whether they are a Dem or Repub.

    ReplyDelete
  36. 7:39 pm... ROTFL!!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Chris Moreno is my God.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Good for Moreno! Glad to see him running! He will be great for his district.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Good for Chris Moreno, I am certain now that peace and hope will reign on the prime material plane. Life will just be one long orgasm.

Or should I fit in my saying:

"Oh golly gee, Chris Moreno is a swell guy who helps elderly kittens across busy streets. I am glad he is here."

    ReplyDelete
  40. Pretty strong list of endorsements. Looks like Moreno has good company. All of those people have done amazing things in Jackson County. Alright Chris!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Chris Moreno cured polio! He performed the first heart/lung transplant! I'm sure if he fools enough people to vote for him, he'll cure cancer from Jeff City!

But first he needs to solve the obesity problem...his own!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Nice job Chris! Now talk about a great group of local democrats!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Keep on fighting the good fight Chris Moreno!

    ReplyDelete
  44. the reason a few losers on here hate Moreno is because he has been so effective in the past and the losers are bitter. Haha

    ReplyDelete
  45. Mr. Gompers "Stays Winning"4/12/12, 7:57 AM

Why does Chris Moreno and his idiot brother Nick, believe that because they post a string of canned comments on this blog that they "stay winning?"

Chris is running against a labor leader in the Democratic Primary, which is par for the course when it comes to Chris Moreno's anti-labor record.

At the recent meeting of labor leaders called The Forty Club, Chris Moreno made an ass of himself slapping backs, which resulted in forced smiles and nodding heads. We hate your guts Chris. Sitting next to Dutch Newman is not going to change that because she hates your guts too.

I should also mention that Chris had "Sweaty-Butt Stains" on the seat of his pants that he must not have known or cared were there. Chris you probably want to check yourself for that from time to time.

Look at these endorsements. Jonas Hughes might well be the most stupid life form to ever serve in the Missouri State Legislature -- which says alot. Jim Barnes was thrown out of the Democratic leadership because he slid into The Bottle, and he has never managed to crawl out. Crispin Rea is nothing more than a homeboy who means nothing to our district, but Chris and Nick lists him anyway.

That is a pretty sorry list Chris.

During World War Two, I would have laid on the floor of my bunker in a fetal position drunk and crying if it were not for Chris Moreno.

  47. Mikhail Sergeyevich Gorbachev4/12/12, 8:01 AM

I shut down the Soviet Union in order to honor Chris Moreno.

    ReplyDelete
  48. If Chris Moreno wins, I will have to plead guilty and tell everything I know about the sexual abuse of children just out of the aura of justice that will reign in the world.

    ReplyDelete
  49. The Common Cold4/12/12, 8:04 AM

I promise to be cured if Chris Moreno wins.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Hey Chris can you get me a waiver from OBAMACARE? THANKS

    ReplyDelete
  51. He looks like Chris Cristi

    ReplyDelete
  52. Chris will be at the center of a scandal involving the use of public funds for political purposes by the Jaxco Sheriff's Office before the primary. The Star is aware of the information. The scandal will send both Chris Moreno, and the volunteer neighborhood watch captain that dresses up as sheriff into the dustbin of JaxCo political history.

By the way, Moreno has sold access to the so-called sheriff software that captures IP and hard drive information off blog postings, and the sheriff's office in violation of state and federal laws looks up that information in databases that are only supposed to be used for homeland security and child porn investigations. Just thought you all would like to know what happens if you say anything politically critical. It is best to use a public computer for that.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Wow look at the stalkers in here! Just willing to make up all kinds of false info! Im supporting Chris even more!

    ReplyDelete
  54. I'd say thats a pretty good list of Democrats Mr. Moreno.

Are these really democrats on here bad mouthing Moreno, Rea, Barnes, Alonzo, Messerli & Lopez?

    ReplyDelete
  55. Barnes for one is a drunk and everyone knows that. He will go days without being able to answer the phone. Bob Griffin even got fed up with him and Griffin never had very high standards of association.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Based on these comments, it looks like Mr. Moreno is winning.

    Go Moreno!

    ReplyDelete
  57. I certainly want no part of an endorsement by Jonass Hughes. That nigger is a bad joke.

    ReplyDelete
  58. These freaks are attacking Sheriff Sharp, Chris Moreno and using racist words regarding black elected officials.

Count me in on Team Moreno.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Seriously, STOP people! Why are so called "democrats" attacking Moreno for running? He has every right to run and personally feel he has worked hard for our party over the years. I have never met his opponent and that says enough for me. The attacks on those in our own party is old and not helpful to our cause. That is why I am supportive of Chris Moreno. He has been respectful to everyone I know and the quality of attacks by those on here says plenty about why I am sending a contribution his way and will urge many activists to do the same.

I suffered a slow and painful death nailed to a cross just so my name could be spoken in the same breath as Chris Moreno.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Who is JJ Rizzo endorsing in this race??

    That's who I'm voting for

    ReplyDelete
  62. I am glad to see Chris Moreno running. It doesnt surprise me that these great local leaders are supporting him. He has been doing good things for democrats for a decade now.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I like the guy. Moreno has always been honest with me and everyone I know. Never really understood all the bad talk. Then again, those who bad mouth the guy at events have more faces than a high school yearbook.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Lets face it that Dwon Littlejohn is a corrupt closet faggot who is attacking our sheriff and Chris Moreno. DL should burn in hell for his sins. Fuck him sideways.

    ReplyDelete
  65. 9:13, if you don't understand why people don't like Moreno, let me explain:
He is a liar. He is a stalker. He exaggerates and makes false claims. He's a pig. He makes promises and then doesn't deliver...repeatedly.

He didnt have enough cleverness to be a decent consultant or campaign manager. So he does what many of the terminally unemployable do--run for office.

So waste your cash, Sarah, and send the worthless Moreno a check. His campaign will be ineffective and unsuccessful.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Chris Moreno hss never lied to me. I think he has always been professional and respectful. Most everyone I know agrees. The democrats on that list dont endorse just anyone. I think he'll do well.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Someone explain to me who these commenters think they are bad mouthing good democrats, trying to intimidate supporters and bully candidates? I'll tell you who they aren't. They aren't democrats.

I told Chris on Tuesday I might make it, but reading this I am definitely going to his fundraiser. I will be cutting a check and hoping Chris Moreno wins in a landslide. He has always been great for the party anyways.

    ReplyDelete
  68. @11:18 (aka "CM")- In case you haven't noticed, trying to rally the troups around the blue flag ain't so effective anymore. Try bringing folks together around issues. Hell, even Occupy KC and that pink-haired chick get a couple dozen followers that way. With any substance, you should be able to gin up at least a football team (that's a 53 man roster). And from he looks of it, 9:27 has given you a place to start....

    ReplyDelete
  69. These nameless comments are the same old attacks on Chris Moreno for two years. He continues to push forward with his head held high. That is why he has earned a tremendous level of respect in my eyes. In my opinion, his attackers (we all know who you are) are only hurting his opposition and making the case for all of the things he talked about in my meeting with him and others.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Debbie, this race will see less action than a high school student council meeting. Chris could win, but I doubt it. If he does I pity his constiuents. The primary characteristic of Chris's personality is his immense laziness. Yes he's lied, treated clients so poorly they've fired him in mid-election and promises results he can't deliver but it's his laziness that permeates him.

To you posters (probably Chris) if you are real people, please reconsider your support. There is a lot of posters here that don't like Chris. There are reasons people don't like Chris and it has nothing to do with him being a democrat. It's because he's despicable.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I happen to think Chris Moreno is a great guy that would do really fantastic things for the district he is running to represent. He has been a very active Democrat and vocal supporter for my union local. Everyone I talk to seems to agree. If you have beef with the guy air it out with him. Coming on here attacking him and tgose who support him just makes you just seem like a scab and snake. Sorry but it does.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Couldn't agree more Michael

    ReplyDelete
  73. Sweet Jesus! Someone take the Red Bull away from Moreno so he can quit posting on this blog!
