Sad fact . . .
THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A TAX AND SPEND BONANZA!!!
KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS identified the trend for this Mayor and Council when it came to the Zoo Tax . . .
Money for penguins started the new hotness for Kansas City taxing . . . Special Districts for more taxes.
The latest example:
Council committee to consider tax district near Metro North
On the bright side, it's about time that the CID worked it's way into suburban life so that folks escaping the urban core can enjoy the luxury of PAYING EXTRA for services that Kansas City struggles to provide.
But this is really a revival of the Kay Barnes era. Mayor Sly and the Council are openly touting new taxes and because they're less of disaster than former Mayor Funky . . . Voters aren't so inclined to question their leadership.
So, with a lot of smiles and unity, Kansas City's Mayor and City Council are leading this town to increase this town's crushing tax burden.
Its a fucking CID, idiot, not a city wide tax!
ReplyDeleteThe Northland is a haven only due to the lack of niggers; however, like Detroit, KC nigs will spread like a blight (that they are)and eventually cause an outflow of decent, hard working people. Kansas City is headed for the rocks...Detroit = Kansas City. You heard it here first and often...WATCH.
ReplyDeleteIt's useless either way. Why should north pay for a failed mall or a new one.
ReplyDeleteSteve Glorioso at work again. Check on it Tony.
The reason Metro North is a fail is because of all the subsidized development nearby like Zona Rosa, Boardwalk, etc.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I disliked the bastard, Funk had one thing right.
Only the developers and their attorneys win in these give-aways.
This CID is just a ripoff. Nothing is going to save that mall.
ReplyDeleteYeea Hah !
ReplyDeleteWe gonna raise taxes.
And you thought we'd keep our promise saying the E-tax would be enough.
Nice shot of Terry Riley! He must hve gotten that purple suit at Penner's.
ReplyDeleteHow's that E-Tax Taste now suckers.
ReplyDeleteThe more you give them the more their going to spend. :) :)
Does Sly have another son?
ReplyDeletelolz!
ReplyDeleteI thought Tony told us to vote for Sly because the other guy was a development lawyer? Of course, Tony supported Funk in the general of 07 so his picks have never worked out very well.
ReplyDeleteUm, something about this doesn't quite smell right.
ReplyDelete"Kansas City's Mayor and City Council are leading this town to increase this town's crushing tax burden."
ReplyDeleteYour right about that.
It's a spending jubilee for the administration.
Does anyone else remember the Good Old Days when private money developed private properties? No TIFs, no CIDs, no other taxpayer subsidized BS. It's your property/store/office building/shopping center, you pay for it. Period.
