Mayor Sly's KCPS Takeover Plan is dead on arrival in Jefferson City.

Right now the GOP is thinking of new and exciting ways to carve up the district.

However . . .

THIS WEEK KANSAS CITY MAINSTREAM MEDIA MOSTLY IGNORED THE LATEST EFFORT FROM THE KCPS ADMINISTRATION TO IMPROVE LOCAL CLASSROOMS!!!

Fact . . .

At Wednesday's School Board Meeting KCPS Interim-Superintendent Dr. Steve Green revealed a plan that included some new classroom initiatives in order to improve local schools and test scores.

So . . .

THIS IS IMPORTANT GIVEN THAT ALMOST ALL OF THE CONVERSATION REGARDING THE KCPS IS DOMINATED BY GOVERNANCE ISSUES WITH LITTLE ATTENTION PAID TO WHAT'S GOING ON IN THE CLASSROOM!!!

To be fair, I'm not sure if the latest KCPS plan will work but then again I don't know how Mayor Sly playing Kansas City School Administrator is going to raise test scores either.

We'll see . . .

    Not hard to believe for Kansas City.

    Really! One of the most BASIC and fundamental services or institutions in a community is education and Kansas City can't even get that right. Not to mention busted water pipes, high crime, etc. But we got money for a new Choo Choo train.

    This town and county is run by Democrats who are more interested in their secret sex parties, than fixing problems like education and infrastructure.

    We need to shame them into getting out of the way.

    Please post any stories you know about Democrat sex scandals, because that is the only way the will be forced out of office.

    Tony, please keep an eye on that 50 million dollar school they are going to build. What is at issue is that they are building the school first and then they are going to develop the curriculum. Even if this thing works it is going to only serve less than a 1000 kids. It's not going to work, but even if it does it is still a bad idea. The video wall proposed is killing me. The money spent on such a frivolous item and the amount of time that must be spent to make the thing remotely cool, boggles the mind. Educationally it is beyond retarded.

    With that kind of money we could go completely electronic with regard to texts and all forms of document/media delivery. This itself won't solve every problem, but it will definitely get the students,teachers, administration, and parents moving in the right direction.

    Hasn't KCPS already tried a $1 billion scam with Olympic-size swimming pools and fencing instructors from Bulgaria?
    Dissolve the district and carve up the area to fit into the surrounding school districts that are not run by people like Clinton Adams and ripped off by people like Ron Hunt.
    Competent instruction demands competent administration.
    And tell asll the interested parents, none of who actually ran for the school board elections, to go home and raise their own kids and help with the others in their neighborhoods so that they're sufficiently responsible to take advantage of actually learning something.
    And for Gwen Grant, Adams, Hunt, and the rest of the folks who have made very comfortable livings grazing on the district, go get some real job.

    If you want to know about the secret sexy time of a Democrat candidate, simply ask a guy named David Egger, who uses a stage name "Photios" Egger in a local cover band. He is on Facebook and he will tell you about his wife's "adventures." His wife Diane Egger was a Democrat candidate for state representative in 2010. They go to Plaza bars and pick out men for Diane to service as David watches. He likes to tell people about it on Facebook. David is certain that one of these adventures was captured by security cameras at O'Dowd's.

    Huh, well this iis Photios. I'm not coward that hides behind a keyboard with the name "anonymous". The facebook account for my band is registered in my name but the only people that have access with the password are the numerous promoters. whatever fictional stories help give the band a"ROCK-ROLL" edge to benefit the bands mystique. The promoters are working..someone bought into the illusion. the rehab story is a good one too

    I'm Photios...thats my real name, not stage. The Facebook account for the band is in my name, but only the promoters have access. They say stories about sex, drugs an rock n roll to give the band a hard edge. it is a tribute band...an illusion. good that someone bought in, let's me know promoters are working. btw, I would love to the video...ha, ha...serve it up!

    I hate to use the word stupid but I can't think of the kind way to say it. My band, KC/DC, is a tribute band. Again I'm not trying to be unkind and insult anyone's intelligence, but a tribute band is one part music and one part community theater. Our musician/actor for the Bon Scott role pretends to die at every show. That doesn't mean someone really dies. Malcolm was a womanizer doesn't mean the part played really is.Look up "tribute band" on the internet...get a full explanation.
