Today was Red Light Camera D-Day in Kansas City.
Here's the protest we were talking about earlier . . .
Fox4: Activists Argue Red Light Cameras Are a Hazard
AWESOME Photos As Usual From Eric Bowers: Red Light Traffic Camera Protest in Kansas City
For fun . . .
Notice the Kansas City dichotomy . . .
LOCAL LIBERTY AND LIBERTARIAN ACTIVISTS LIKE TRACY WARD COMPRISE THE OPPOSITION TO THE CAMERAS!!!
And on the other side . . .
LOCAL POWER PLAYER, KANSAS CITY POLITICAL CONSULTANT AND SPOKESMAN FOR AMERICAN TRAFFIC SOLUTIONS STEVE GLORIOSO CAME OUT TODAY IN SUPPORT OF ADDING EVEN MORE RED LIGHT CAMERAS!!!
So . . . Take your pick.
Either way, this Kansas City hot topic might soon make Mayor and City Council take a stand on something besides spending for their toy trains.
UPDATED . . . And all of this has inspired tonight's playlist . . .
As always, THANK YOU FOR READING THIS WEEK . . . Have a safe and fun weekend and don't run any red lights even if folks are successful in bringing the cameras down.
DEVELOPING . . .
Really?
ReplyDeleteTKC you and the pink haired idiot are without doubt complete idiots. You worship her just because you want to see if the lower patch is pink as well.
ReplyDeleteThe cameras don’t and won’t cause wrecks. It’s idiots such as you who cause wrecks. If people are slamming on the brakes and an equal driving retard in the next car is as stupid as the car in front of him then they deserve to crash into each other. A camera didn’t cause that.
In fact saying a camera at intersections cause’s wrecks is as stupid as saying a shopping center causes running gun battles. When are you imbedding idiots going to wake up? No wonder you and your fellow Kansas City residents vote the idiots you have into office time and time again. Then cry like little babies who dropped their fudgesicles on the sidewalk when it all goes bad.
Glorioso would represent serial killer if there was a buck in it and Tracy spends all her time on silly issues like this instead of serious things like the city budget or the homicide rate.
ReplyDeleteIt's really sad that nothing in KCMO can ever stand on its own merits; it's always necessary to hire one of the local political consultants to sell whatever crap you're peddling to the locals. E-tax, public safety sales tax, zoo; there always has to be some snake oil clown snowing the rubes.
What an operation!
How's that e-tax taste now suckers!
ReplyDeleteHere we go again. Tony is acknowledging the pink haired clown. Tony's love for this retarded chick is like the KC homicide rate...it never ends.
ReplyDeleteEric Bowers says;
ReplyDeleteThis Saturday 1-28-2012 a small protest took place at 39th and Southwest Trafficway in Kansas City MO.
In short nobody was there or gives a damn.
But wait stop the press Glorioso says;
The most dangerous accident is a t-bone accident where someone runs a red light and hits someone where the passenger or the driver is,” he said. “Those are down by 15 percent from last year.”
Oh so saying they cause accidents is a lie by the activists.
Pink Haired Tracey Ward says;
“I would love for the city to bring the cameras down and increase the yellow light times and really make these intersections safer for these residents,” said activist Tracy Ward.
Oh great so we under her thoughts would have to sit for a week waiting for all the yellow light running clowns to decide rather to stop or not.
The only point I see to the whole point and I agree on is this;
“The key thing that would fix the problem would be people who run red lights to stop running red lights,” Glorioso said.
Smart move on ATS's part to hire the Glory Hole. Whenever you have a piece of shit to sell the city, Steve's your man.
ReplyDeleteBukkake Ward vs Steve Glorioso? Wow, this is the first time I'm rooting for Bukkake Ward.
ReplyDeleteThat settles it, if glorioso "ymsh" is for it it must be a BAD IDEA.
ReplyDeleteI drive right and don't get tickets but I don't like the red light cameras. If accidents are occurring at intersections, the police should find other ways to reduce them including but not limited to visibility, reconstruction, traffic circles and so forth.
ReplyDeleteglorioso isn't he the political wizard that led kay barnes to victory over SAM GRAVES and JEFF ROE?
ReplyDeleteTony ask your buddy glorioso about the time he crossed BOB DOLE and had to get out of the KC area quick.
ReplyDeleteTracy seems to be on the same page as the police, so whatever you are saying you saying it about the police. Because the cameras are not about safety but money.
ReplyDeleteHow that E-Tax working for you?
ReplyDeleteGotta enough business and people leaving town.
Steve Glory-Hole-So is a miserable little prick that would cut his own mother's throat if he thought he could make a buck. No surprise that a worthless blood sucking little prick like him would support the red light camera program. This guy has zero integrity!
ReplyDeleteAnyone but Ward

ReplyDeleteOut of the ideas you proposed, which ones would you choose to improve a busy intersection like 39th ans SW Trafficway?
How would they keep people from running red lights or causing accidents?
I just saw a story about Ward today. I have to admitt. She has a butterface but her ass looked good in her jeans.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind going to a bukkake party with her. Only if I can cum on her ass and not her face.
Why is bukake always mentioned with Tracy every time Tony posts? Will someone please tell us what's up with this? I want details. If you have the details, out with them!
ReplyDelete@11:24 rumor has it that Tracy Ward has a bukkake fetish. The rumor is that she frequently has men, ten to twenty at a time come to her home, get naked, and cum in her face and body. Rumor is that she used to have these parties almost once a week. But since becoming a “community activist” the parties have become less frequent and more secretive. It has become a Kansas City Urban Legend.
ReplyDeleteGlorioso will do anything for money. If he were a woman, we would have a name for him.
ReplyDeleteI have met Glorioso twice and was just repulsed by him. He is one of those people that lives their ethics in the margins. He will give a mouth to any cause that will give him a dollar. He couldn't care less if we need red light cameras or not. It's about what is in it for him. Disgusting.
ReplyDeleteOk.
ReplyDeleteIf your actually that interested in what is going on with the Red Light Cameras, and what is motivating both sides, at least READ this---
http://jimmycsays.com/
from jimmycsays.
it is a very interesting take on this issue.
In addition, right below is the video from Week In Review, which also sheds some light on both sides of the issue, concerning safety vs revenue and why the two are NOT mutually exclusive.
What happened to the petition drive to allow the citizens a yes or no vote on these things ? Instead of having them shoved down our throats by the city council.
ReplyDeleteThat's some crazy bukake shit! I never even knew what it was until I googled it.
ReplyDelete@10:38 from 8:19, I have driven in the area of 39th and SW Trafficway for years. I have never seen an accident at that intersection. I have seen since the red light cameras have been installed dozens and dozens of times when the red light cameras flash to catch a violator. Never were any of these times a near miss. So my proposal at this intersection would be to remove the red light cameras and allow police to be more visible at the intersection to catch violators.
ReplyDeleteThis life is hard, but it's harder when you're stupid.
ReplyDeleteWard, Glorioso and the Bowers Awesome.
ReplyDeleteThe Triad of Pretension.
That link that Chuck posted in here should be read by all here. It does show how the study is probably tainted.
ReplyDeleteBut it fails to point the real issue with the study that everyone seems to miss.
Come on people even TKC can't see this look at the study and see what is missing.
I'd like to cum on her toes!
ReplyDeleteOf COURSE Glorioso is supporting red light cameras! He lobbied for them, and got paid to do so, while his buddy (and boss) Kay Barnes was in office. Glorioso was paid to sell those cameras to KC. He's most likely being paid to argue for keeping them now. Glorioso has no ethics and no morals.
ReplyDelete@7:22
ReplyDeleteOk, you like police presence. I get it. I know you never saw accidents there before cameras. But were you at the intersection all day to know there were never accidents? Or is this your presumption since you never saw any while driving through?
Don't police officers make people stomp on their brakes too? Sorry, but it your arguement is weak.
Any other ideas how to improve the intersection?
etax douchebag, the etax has nothing to do with red light camera's
ReplyDeleteI will pay one thousand dollars to anyone that can provide evidence of Tracy's bukkake fetish. Speak up and we will arrange to meet at my lawyer's office to review the evidence.
ReplyDeleteBetter songs next time Tony.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, Tracy is a delight. We need more elected officials with her values and who want the voters to rule not the special interests.
Let's see, citizen activist vs. paid industry goon and city hall leach.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand why we even have to think about this one. Gloriso is part of the problem, not the solution.
Who cares about the stupid cameras, dont run red lights and you wont get a ticket...Damn, since when do we start standing up for people breaking the law...Soon there will be cameras in the most violent parts of the city in order to provide live intel to cops, I suppose they shouldnt do that either cause it would interrupt homicides, narcotic sales, and things of that nature.
ReplyDeleteFight for criminals...protest with Tracy...
ReplyDeleteOk people, we as a city have to make up our minds. There are a ton of people on here that want to get ride of the cameras and have cops at the intersections. But there are other stories on TKC that want cops doing other work through out the city. We only have so many cops and we either have to have them on the streets, watching intersections or bring extra to work and pay them over time so we have enough to do both. So what do you want because you can't have it all, without it costing the city a ton of money in OT pay.
