Because Brooklyn Decker's soulful gaze and tremendous talents put everything in perspective.
Let's face facts . . .
Mayor Sly is more concerned with trying to be Superintendent than the boring topic of Kansas City infrastructure . . .
The Mayor and City Council played with toy trains this week and didn't think much about water at all . . .
Voters are also to blame because Kansas City's water disaster has been moving closer to a boiling point for decades.
It's so bad The Star has finally taken notice. Today's Headline . . .
KC faces an epidemic of broken water mains
NBC Action News reported as much in November of last year . . .
Kansas city shatters record for water main breaks
Fox4 kept us up to date in December: KCMO Struggling to Keep Up with Broken Water Mains
Unfortunately, there are more pressing sweetheart deals on the table so Kansas City's old and busted infrastructure hasn't moved to center stage. Eventually when water rates spike even higher and there's no more cash to borrow . . . Then we're in for a nice splash of concern.
DEVELOPING . . .
Tony, we have too much to do with all the sex parties and illicit internet sex traffic to worry about your old water mains. REALLY!
ReplyDeleteKCMO government is just a great souce of income for planning companies and consultants. The retired CEO of KCPL is being paid $250/hour to give advice as to how the water services operation can be better and after many thousands of dollars are spent, he'll go away and nothing will change.
ReplyDeleteBut the real focus is on the streetcar planning ($700,000) and the new downtown hotel ($500,000).
Oh, and the fact that Shulte has just put together a really tight budget for the city because they don't have any money.
Keep voting for that e-tax, suckers.
Please do not talk about the sex parties, since there are not too many women there and they tend to keep to themselves.
ReplyDeleteJJ you gotta stop. People will find out!
ReplyDeleteYeah, but the drugs are good.
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of serious perverts in the leadership of the local Democrat party. Since the Democrats run things, they really are not likely to leave their orgies and work on neighborhood services.
ReplyDeleteWho has actual Democrat orgy or sex scandal stories?
ReplyDeleteWTF?
ReplyDeleteI think 702 and 710 have a point.
ReplyDeleteYou watch, this council is more concerned with fire fighter raises and making sure they can play Xbox at the stations.
ReplyDeleteYou KC-MO whining babies STFU.
ReplyDeleteYou all voted this clown show into office so STFU till after next elections when you have done something about it.
agree they need to grow a set of balls and stand up to the firefighters maybe even have them take a deduction in there pay checks to help pay for the citys water problems.
ReplyDeleteHey 9:56 why don't you take say 25% of your pay and send it to the water dept to help pay for your crappy water pipes with.
ReplyDeleteOh as well post who you are and where you live so firefighters know just who hates them doubt you that.
You notice that the retired KCPL executive being paid $250/hour is planning to see how other cities run their water departments. That's because his experience with electricity has NOTHING TO DO WITH HOW THIS WORKS!
ReplyDeleteIt's not what you know in KCMO; it's who.
So I guess the Mayor and Clowncil will be happy to pay all the fines they will soon occur due to not fixing the water infrastructre as mandated by the EPA, State and DNR in the Consent Decree.
ReplyDeleteI called the EPA and have reported the City and the water main breaks the standing water left by the sewage pipes is a health hazard.
ReplyDeleteReliable sources tell me that we can expect double digit increases in water bills every year for the foreseeable future. Thanks to the local pols!!!
ReplyDelete8:13. Thug. Correction, local 42 thug.
ReplyDeleteRight on, 9:15!
ReplyDeleteAnyone realize that a portion of the city sticker fee (now called the motor vehicle license fee) goes to KCFD pensions? Yep, had to pay off Local 42 to get something passed for Parks Dept!
ReplyDelete10:13 said "Oh as well post who you are and where you live so firefighters know just who hates them doubt you that"
ReplyDeleteI'm a thug and we will come beat you up, or torch your house. Fucking thugs.
