TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! TREND 2012: KANSAS CITY "TRANSFORMATION PLAN" FAIL DICTATES INTEGRATION OF SUBURBAN SCHOOLS!!!

This year we lost Joe Frazier. As well as being a boxing legend, he was also famous for saying: "Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide." This sentiment now applies to so many middle-class Kansas City Area suburbanites who long ago fled Kansas City Public Schools.

To wit . . . Here's a trend that will define 2012:

KANSAS CITY'S PUBLIC EDUCATION FAIL HAS BECOME SO OVERWHELMING THAT THE MARKETPLACE NOW DICTATES A MASSIVE INTEGRATION OF SURROUNDING SUBURBAN SCHOOLS IN A WAY THAT JUDGE CLARK NEVER COULD!!!

A bit of background:

Chronology of the Kansas City, Missouri, Desegregation Case

A recent ruling that upholds the right of KCPS students to transfer is just the beginning.

The FAIL OF THE KCPS is also part of Kansas City Proper losing population overall.

And, Kansas City Area suburbanites don't like to mention it but . . .

SO MANY KANSAS CITY AREA MIDDLE-CLASS WHITE PEOPLE KEEP MOVING FARTHER OUT TO FIND "BETTER SCHOOLS" BUT THE LAW OF THE LAND DICTATES THAT EVEN THOSE INSTITUTIONS MUST INTEGRATE WHEN MINORITY POPULATIONS FOLLOW SUIT!!

Please don't take my word for it . . . Just look at student populations of Raytown, Lee's Summit, Grandview . . . You'll see this trend in action and this year it's just going to be more pronounced.

Oh yeah . . . And minorities are also moving out to The Great White Northland.

Surprise, surprise . . . People of color don't have any patience for empty promises about the "transformation" of Kansas City Public School either. And let's face it, nobody really understands what Mayor Sly is trying to do because he is not communicating his plan clearly or effectively . . .

In the end all of this is comforting . . . Why?

Because it turns out that THE MARKETPLACE is more effective at bringing about change than any activist judge, politician or school administrator.

And, at the end of the day, like it or not . . . People vote with their feet and the ONGOING mass exodus from Kansas City Public Schools is the real benchmark of how the public feels about even more promises of education renewal.

  6. Your so-called 'marketplace' has nothing to do with it. I wouldn't have expected an anti-capitalist such as yourself to understand it anyway.

Actual FREEDOM (not to be confused with cheap copies like ''Freedom Inc.) is what's driving the machine. Nobody has to stay in Kansas Shitty, or remain residents of any suburb affected by the refuse now blowing out of it.

I found the solution back when Clark turned the District over to NAACP lackeys. You simply divest yourself of the Metro proper. Moving to the burbs won't do it. Putting about 35 miles between yourself and the Jackson County line, will do it.

  12. Typical Liberal, don't address the problem. It would hurt the political ideal that is your religion. Just attack the other side with the nasty R word; far less painful than facing the shortfall of your religion.

"Nobody has to stay in Kansas Shitty, or remain residents of any suburb affected by the refuse now blowing out of it."

Because it is so easy for an ordinary family to sell their house, possibly at a huge loss, not to mention transaction costs, and move somewhere else.

    Idiot.

  15. I think this may be a non-issue. If your kids are currently attending the KCMSD (or whatever its name is now), you obviously have not been paying attention or don't care very much about your child's education.
Transferring the kids to another district is gonna be waaaay to much trouble. Best to let them stay in the shitty district, where it is easier for ME (the parent).
If a parent cared (even a financially poor parent), they would have moved long ago to another district, even if it means some sacrifice and inconvenience for Mom or Dad.
I know too many families in the District who have given up a lot of material things themselves to either move out or enroll the kids in a private/parochial school. If some of these parents have to go out of their way one little bit, the transfer will not happen, trust me.

Fill out a butt-hurt report. Nobody forced you to buy there so don't expect anyone to bail you out. Maybe de Gub'mit will fix you up with cheese and free housing at 39th and Troost.

Waaah. 'Fair' is a place where they give ribbons to pigs. Stay and put up with it or get the hell out. I'm sure you'll be whining to somebody about it, whatever the case.

Air-Wick, Crispin and the others were put into place by Kim Carlos (George), Steve Bough and Theresa Garza so that they could drain money off this district through contracts and patronage.

Now Steve Bough's friend Sly James wants total control over the school district, so I wonder who will benefit financially?
