BARB SHELLY RECYCLING KC HOT AIR!!!

Kansas City's Star columnist Barb Shelly's political pabulum stood out today . . . Even more so than Wendy Fiore and her funbags. Check it:

Rising and falling stars on the area’s political stage

Kansas City political insiders note that the column completely follows classic KC progressive talking points . . . With a few notable exceptions.

A tacit diss aimed at MO State Rep. Jason Kander is rather odd. She writes: "He has good credentials and endorsements, but a statewide race is a long, hard slog."

That doesn't really give Kander much of a chance and doesn't make sense given that he's the favorite son of The Corridor.

And then . . .

There's all the typical ring kissing of Mayor Sly . . .

A hope for increased liberalism in the outskirt of KC . . .

And a naive belief that Democrats from Jackson County's Mike Sanders to Missouri's Senator Claire McCaskill won't face another wave of pushback from voters and constituents in this ongoing era of economic decline.

DEVELOPING . . .

Comments

  1. i cant understand her being so naive to think Sanders got out for those reasons . He got out because Kander out endorsed him . And out fundraised him .

  3. Why does she praise Sanders, who hasn't accomplished shit, and who's big commuter rail project is DOA. And he knows it.

  4. Sanders wont even commit to our schools

  5. I wish Sanders would focus on the Rail Proposal rather than being chair of the Nixon's Party, which is not the same as the Democrats.

The Rail Proposal could win if Mike's ADD was not so strong.

  6. When anyone finally gets to see the REAL costs of the rail proposal, both capital and operating expenses, they will quickly see that it is DOA.
And if you drive I-470 westbound on a wekday morning, you will see that 90% of the traffic goes to Johnson County, not north.
This kind of study went on for years and cost millions of dollars and ended up with a program for buses to drive on the side of the interstate. It's nothing more than another feeding frenzy for the consultants who make millions from an endless stream of studies which never go anywhere.
Mike needs to work on something serious.
