I didn't get a chance to go to his concert last night BUT . . . There's still no denying that Jay-Z was ahead of his time in terms of cashing in on the whole "occupy" phenomena.
To wit . . .
NOTICE THAT THE LOCAL INTERNETS IS NOW AWASH IN KANSAS CITY "OCCUPIERS" AND INDEPENDENT WEBSITES!!!
I kinda like the latest one . . .
The Occupy KC Post
They even have a fancy PDF "Print Edition"
Expect a bunch of inventive t-shirts coming soon given that most of what they're doing is nowadays in their "media work groups" is arguing about design.
DEVELOPING . . .
They're still here?
ReplyDelete"I would take any job
ReplyDeleteI could get, but preferably inside."
What a load of CRAP!
Linda Miller? You are a LIAR! There are jobs everywhere. You just CHOOSE not to work.
How's that outside livin' OccupyKC? Watch out you don't get any frost bite on your dumbasses. Go the fuck home. You have failed and your continued bitching only makes you look more pathetic. Just because you can't find a job with your art or political science degrees from Penn Valley Community College doesn't mean there aren't jobs out there. Might have to suck it up and do something you don't want to do. Welcome to life.
ReplyDeleteIT is kinda sad when someone drops $40k on an education and graduates with no skills but to be a 'know-it-all'! Moreover, very hard to pay back high student loans when you're just running a cash register for not much more than minimum wage. College grad / retail job = bad planning!
ReplyDeletelucky for you that you couldn't get into college radio man.
ReplyDeleteTo the individual accusing Linda of not wanting to work. The article clearly states that she works her ass off, as a volunteer.
ReplyDeleteFurther, apparently you subscribe to the Herman Cain school of Judgment, which by the way tells you--yes you--that you are not rich because you don't work hard enough at it. I subscribe to the school that says you, dear reader, are not rich not because you don't work hard but because you are limited in some way. Maybe not enough talent, or lack of connections, or lack of credentials. I don't know because I don't know you. Similarly, you don't kow Linda, so you don't know her limitations. So you can't accurately judge her job prospects. Regardless, if anyone says that this economy does not make job hunting very very very tricky, then they are either dishonest or uninformed.
I did not know people were still protesting in KC...
ReplyDeleteThere are jobs out there and you just have to take the time, keep looking and stay positive.
10:51, you're thinking of TODAYS radio kids. not when radio was in its professional heyday thirty years ago. Before ipod music automation and when news wasn't just reading outta the paper or the paragraph spitting wire service.
ReplyDeleteIt paid better too.
radioman belittling poor people again?
