Golden Ghetto Teen Tweeter Isn't Going To Have To Apologize!!! INSTEAD, GOV. BROWNBACK APOLOGIZES TO HER!!!
Privilege for good looking, young and affluent white women means NEVER having to say you're sorry . . .
No penalty for teen who tweeted about KS governor
District, Gov. respond to teen's tweet
Shawnee Mission school district: No apology to Brownback required from student
AND THEN . . .
Governor Brownback apologizes to Emma Sullivan over Twitter tiff
Wait till she puts on a few pounds.
ReplyDeleteShe's still just a little, loud mouthed cunt.
ReplyDeleteThis kind of publicity is not going to be a big help to her when she gets ready to enter the job market with how many employers use Google searches on prospective employees and all.
ReplyDeleteRegardless of what I think about Brownback and his office's bumbling response to her, I'd personally be reluctant to hire a young person who seems to enjoy basking in controversies with public figures.
Fucking waste.
ReplyDeleteNow she can be magnanimous and apologize as well.
ReplyDeleteIn a perfect world, the Brownback flunkie who demanded the apology would be fired.
ReplyDeletewhat has her being white got to do with anything here?
ReplyDeleteoh, that's right
nothing
I believe a spanking is in order.
ReplyDeleteRegardless of your political affiliations, what a lesson she learned. As a representative of a student organization that are guests to a political officials, she publically lies about being disrespectful and becomes a hero to some. No wonder we have a bunch of self entitled youth. If it would have been the person I dispise the most in this world, my kid would still be treating them with respect. That's what separates the good from the bad.
ReplyDeleteThe issue isn't this Little Girl, it's brownback, being a typical politician. Incredibly, poor judgment for someone elected to run Kansas.
ReplyDeleteTypical politician blames his staff for his dealings with a teen girl. That's your headline Tony.
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping that the University of Arkansas rejects this disrespectful brat. If she talks this way to the governor you can only imagine how she will talk to her college profs.
ReplyDeleteIs it possible that Brownback and the girl are both little brats?
ReplyDeleteKU gives a guy $6,000,000 for being a jackwad coach and the government of Kansakistan manages to turn a rude aside into the assassination of the Arch Duke Ferdinand (was he Mexican?O.
ReplyDeleteWhere was Alonzo on these drive-by whacks?
Indeed Orphan, what a shame. And a sham.
ReplyDeleteConsidering the normal level of discourse on this particular site, I am relishing in the delicious irony of people here saying the girl did anything wrong.
ReplyDeleteOf course, they are missing the bigger picture, as did so call media expert John Landesberg on his little Web site.
And here it is: The governor's staff started a chain of events that they could not control and turned their boss into a national laughingstock. For five days and counting.
Poor, poor, communications skills.
Why should we respect politicians of either party? They are almost all lying, cheating thieves who have zero morals. I will live by their laws but they will never have my respect.
ReplyDelete436 Very well said, indeed!!!
ReplyDeleteGirl is a spoiled lying brat. Simple enough. Brownback's jerk level is high and not in dispute, but this mouthy bratty high schooler has a lot to learn. Hopefully any college she applies to Googles her and finds out how little character she has.
ReplyDeleteI hate to say that I agree with TheRapist. He seems like a smart guy.
ReplyDeleteI hope she gets a full ride scholarship and uses this to springboard a career.
ReplyDeleteThe haterade flowing here is all because she looks better than anything anyone posting here gets to roll over and look at in the morning.
5:36, I certainly don't hate this girl or Brownback. But Emma Sullivan's behavior was deplorable and classless. She should have a consequence. Unfortunately bad behavior such as hers is usually ignored or rewarded with attention.
ReplyDelete5:46...only because the gov's incompetent staff "rewarded (her) with attention". Much ado over nothing.
ReplyDeleteClearly the 5:28 and 5:46 posters were born as mature adults, because they clearly were never 18.
ReplyDeleteGive the kid a break. She was intemperate and not very articulate but she did not lie and the first amendment does apply.
Consequence? For speaking poorly? That would be a big-ass timeout if every one who did that was in there.
1:46 - "This kind of publicity is not going to be a big help to her when she gets ready to enter the job market with how many employers use Google searches on prospective employees and all."
ReplyDeleteThere's no such thing as bad pubicity... unless you're Sam Brownback (and she's right, #heblowsalot)
I love this new world where everyday people are being given huge voices and authoritay figures are having to actually listen to the people they work for, for a change. Long live Social Media and Viva la Revolucion!
@LA Little: If you can find Caycee Anthony, ask her if there's such a thing as bad publicity.
ReplyDeleteIt baffles my mind that people are actually choosing sides on this. The kid was disrespectful and sadly has parents that condone the behaviour. Brownback and his staff were childish at best. We should be laughing at two idiots not trying to make this into a freaking debate.
ReplyDeleteDoes this girl have a father in the home? All you hear is about her bitch mother defending her actions.
ReplyDeleteThe girl is a liar and an idiot. So is Brownback, so it looks like a tie to me.
ReplyDeleteYeah, 6:59, Emma did lie. Read the twit's tweet.
ReplyDeleteBut I agree with 11:29. It's a tie.
9:06 and 11:29, there is one thing wrong with your attempt at equivalency and "both sides were childish."
ReplyDeleteOn one side is an 18-year-old girl who thought she was tweeting to her 65 followers (friends and family) and never had any intention of her tweet going any farther than that.
On the other side is the governor of a state and his staff who decided that this girl needed to be punished for her "disrepect" her her boss.
And the end result was that far worse things were said about Brownback by far more people in far more places because the governor and his staff was too dumb to see the hole they had dug themselves into, and they got owned by an 18-year-old girl and her 19-year-old sister.
And 11:36, your problem is that she "lied"? I suppose it would have been less respectful and perfectly OK with you had she told Brownback to his face that he sucked?
