In other cities the violence against the "Occupy Movement" is widely and rightfully regarded as abhorrent.

However, in Kansas City our pathological politeness and apathy have pretty much caused the Occupy KC movement to fizzle or become so bound to political correctness that their message is muted to nothing more than a whimper.

As of yet the Occupy KC movement has failed to develop any call to action specific to Kansas City so that supporters can do little more to further their cause than carry signs, chant slogans, play hackey sack or maybe skulk around a drum circle.

It's a leaderless movement and in Kansas City it's a movement without any teeth.

TKC EXCLUSIVE: MOST KANSAS CITY LEADERS EXPECT THAT THE COLD WILL INEVITABLY KILL THE LOCAL OCCUPY PROTEST!!! IT'S A FACT THAT NOBODY IS GOING TO BE OUTSIDE IN JANUARY FOR VERY LONG!!!

Another quick factoid . . . This really objective article regarding Conservative complaints and the threat of Anti-Semitism in the Occupy Wall St. Protest is also worth a look and debunks that accusation for the most part. 

But what's really important this morning is this . . .

KANSAS CITY LOVES THE 1% AND ALL THEY DO FOR THIS COWTOWN!!!

Kansas City couldn't heap enough praise on K-PAC and the Kauffman Family for their contribution to local life. Without a doubt their philanthropy and dedication to Kansas City has served as an example to everyone. In fact, K-PAC and the monument to the local super-rich earned so much praise that there was little mention that KC Taxpayers actually subsidized the EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE parking lot on which it's all built.



Let's not forget that the Bloch family stays winning with all of their good work. Example UMKC recently received a $32 million gift from Henry Bloch.

It would be sacrilege to protest this family that's helped build Kansas City. Seriously, I'm not kidding.



And let's not forget the Kemper clan . . . Kansas City loves this rich banking family so much that nobody bothered to call out their latest dumb idea to put a taxpayer subsidized building over a structure that Kansas City still struggles to finance. Nobody's protesting the Kempers because they represent a rather classy brand of Kansas City elitism that so many hope to attain.

So what have we learned?

YOU'RE NOBODY IN KANSAS CITY IF YOU DON'T HAVE AT LEAST TWO BUILDINGS THE FEATURE YOUR FAMILY NAME!!! SO SHUT UP IF THAT'S NOT THE CASE!!!

Also . . . It's easy to protest imaginary enemies in faraway places but when it comes to the super-rich living within shouting distance right here in River City . . . Kansas City has almost unbridled love and admiration for the 1% and very often (whether you like it or not) that feeling is well-deserved.
