Just for clarification, that's Larissa Riquelme watching a great soccer match and not a Kansas City politico . . . But I thought the visual image of a sporting contest was appropriate . . . Anyhoo

This morning on facebook Jamie Barker Landes announced:

"I have officially entered the race for Missouri State Representative for District 39, which includes the Kansas City neighborhoods of Westport, the Plaza, Hyde Park and Brookside. The special election will be held November 8, 2011. I would welcome and truly appreciate your support."

So, Kansas City Democrats don't get to just anoint Judy Morgan to this post. 

Back to the contender, Landes (yet another) local lawyer and she's starting her campaign by talking schools and jobs.
