On Sunday, trailing dogs searching for a missing Kansas City man Richard (Richie) Solis picked up scents that will refocus efforts of volunteers who plan to renew the search on Labor Day.

Solis was last seen at his home in the 1800 block of Cambridge on Saturday, Aug. 27.

The 63-year-old man is blind and suffers from dementia and a seizure disorder. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall, 185 pounds and has gray hair.

Those interested in joining the effort are invited to meet at 10 a.m. Monday in the Price Chopper parking lot, 5800 Wilson Road, in Kansas City, Mo. This will be a house-to-house effort to seek out information from people in those neighborhoods.
