ReplyDeleteEveryone, take careful note of the fact that JE Dunn will be Polsinelli's contractor. While much attention has been diverted away from them as of late, recall that they intentionally underbid the original project then succesfully sued for more money like big cry babies and then walked off the job unscathed. Now they are back to the scene of the crime to repeat the process! By the way, this will be a TIF project as well. Is this one of the reasons Ron Yaffe, the TIF head during the original fiasco, was recently and unexplicably re-appointed as the new TIF Chairman? TIF is a gift that keeps on giving to JE Dunn and development attorneys like Polsinelli. Kansas City, is this OK with you?
ReplyDeleteYep. This was sure a big win. The "Save the Plaza" nutcases got the project, which was to be built without taxpayer money, moved to the West Edge, where Polsinelli Shugart picked up some healthy TIF.

ReplyDeleteA friend of mine is a partner at Polsinelli. I ran into him a couple off months ago gettin Bar B Q. He told me, they (Polsinelli) really tried to make the current building work for them, but it is so cut up and was in no way going to work for a law firm.
