Its time for some MAJOR protests in Kansas City. City Officials need to start being fired for non performance of duites. Its time for the people to protest.
The rest of the World is joining in protests demanding action from Government Officials. India, Northern Africa, Italy, Spain, Greece, France, and England are seeing Civil unrest due to the neligence of elected officials .
Time for Kansas City to join the ranks. We must DEMAND action from elected officials, they need to quit lining their pockets with fund raisers and start doing their jobs.
As long as public safety is not a publically-stated top priority in KCMO and instead, eash event that occurs merely gets a reaction, nothing is going to change.
ReplyDeleteThere has to be a clear message to the minority of the population that can intimidate, hassle, and even murder other residents with complete impunity. The rate at which murders were solved last year was only 42%!
And to be serious, we need collaboration among the mayor, council, police board,the prosecutor, and the way the $16 million from COMBAT is spend, and we need a KCPD that's accountable for results. And innovative tactics can include more police sweeps, the certainty of prosecution, serious curfews, holding parents responsible for their kids, community policing, and use of more technology.
The folks who are elected and appointed to address this issue really don't care enough to suck it up and have the guts to hurt people's feelings, get called names by the usual suspects, take some risks in the srvice of the greater good.
