So, once again it turns out that TKC ranting about disparity is a matter of scientific fact. It seems that The Great Recession has exacerbated the REALITY of racial disparity in this nation.

Still, I DO NOT advise robbing white people to make things right . . . Yet. In fact most of the white people are know are broke . . . Also, this study seems to reflect that the rich are simply getting richer and po'folk regardless of their demographics are starting to have more in common.
Nevertheless, so many ignorant people would like believe that disparity doesn't exist United States and this study simply represents THE FACT that they're wrong. I ask that question because I am willing to bet that 99% of the billionaires in the US are white. And a few white billionaires can pretty heavily skew the data.
So while it would appear that all whites are better off, in fact I would argue that the majority of whites are not better off. They are far worse off than before.
However, being white in this culture has undeniable advantages. To deny that is to close your eyes to reality.
Just be aware that the white billionaires skewed this data *substantially* and if you clipped off the top 1% the wealth index for whites would drop substantially. Over 40% of the nations income is generated by the top 1% of families.
And the top 1% is almost exclusively white. White like New Canaan, Connecticut.

Before govt assitance their were two parents in the house hold then one parent house holds. After the federal govt decided to step in, Social Security Act of 1935, and to save everyone the number of two parents house holds dropped and has continued to drop. ReplyDeleteI live in a lovely community close to San Jose, Ca. The house next door (run-down one-story, 2 bdrm, 1 bath on a large corner lot)just sold for $725,000. (This property would fetch about $200,000 in Raytown, which is where it looks like it belongs.) It was up for sale about 2 months. NO white people looked at the house, only Asians and Indians, and it sold to a young Asian couple. It appears to me the only people in this part of the country able to buy property are Asians and Indians.
