TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! REP. CLEAVER STAYS WINNING IN MISSOURI RESTRICTING FIGHT!!!

Here's a bit of perspective from awesome TKC READERS who are keeping track of the latest developments in the Show-ME State Redistricting fight:

"The Missouri State Legislature passed its redistricting plan last night. As the Star pointed out today, the process was even more complicated because the state drops from nine members of Congress to eight. With Republicans in control of both the Missouri House and Senate, one Democrat was going to be whacked. That happened, but the map also shows the strength of our own Congressman Cleaver and seems to show why sometimes working across the aisle pays off. With Republicans in control of the entire process in Jeff City, he managed to increase the number of Democrats in his district making a safe seat even safer. The Missouri Republican Party analysis of the new Missouri Fifth District predicts that it will perform as 64.42% Democratic. Even with adding three more rural counties, a district that votes 64-plus percent Democrat is significant bump for Cleaver. The Rev may say he doesn't like the game, but he played it very well.

"Also, and literally no one has noticed this yet, but it appears looking at the the final map, Cleaver's three time losing opponent, Republican Jacob Turk, no longer lives in Cleaver's district. Will Turk move so he can challenge the Rev again or take up his fool's errand against Sam Graves?"
