Another JoCo Skater Gang Perspective

Denial about "JoCo Skater Gangs" was a big deal after a recent death this week.

The latest development . . .

Suburban Kansas City skate park closed after violence

Again, if only arguments from the urban core regarding the complex composition of violence were given this much media play.

  1. I believe this case has brought some serious issues to light about safety in our schools. And NO, the public speaker about bullying or the pamphlets you hand out about bullying is not going to simply cure the problem. The only way the administrators and teachers could have helped their students was getting more involved- if they had known about the fear in the school caused by the Reed twins (and I don't think people were exactly running to the principal's office to "tattle") these kids could have been put in their place right then and there for the 16-year-old little punks they were, instead of giving them power and swelling up their heads by letting the fear run throughout the school and take away an innocent life.

  2. Once again, our administrators of the SMSD (who are getting paid hundreds of thousands of dollars a year to do their jobs which is basically BABYSITTING high school kids) have displayed severe ignorance and their lack of actions seemed to directly result in the loss of this young man's life. If anything, Ryder was a hero; he tried to stand up to the Reed cousins when no one else would. And now that he's gone, is the only recognition he'll ever get for it.

  3. I must have missed something. How are the schools involved or responsible for what these punks do outside of school?

Its a good thing these kids aren't Mexicans. Tee would be all upset the park's closed, punishing the kids for what two cousins allegedly did.

  4. Can't we just round up and put all these violence makers into FEMA camps or something where society will be safe from their lack of self control and self discipline?

Sounds like a plan and I wouldn't have a second thought at this point about it.
